@Swedernish Cool! This is a cheaper guitar, so no, the stock pickups aren't the greatest. I had EMG 85/81s in it, and the tone's great. Just recently, I swapped those out for dimarzio pickups which also sound good. Basically, swap the stock pickups out, and you're good :)

@Swedernish I'm not too sure--I'm still learning about pickups. DiMarzio pickups are cheaper than EMG's, but they sound great. I would still get higher-grade pickups like dimarzio, emg, seymour duncan, etc. if possible. As I've discovered, good pickups can make a cheaper guitar like a jetking sing

Hey how do you connect your guitar to  garage band??? Do you have to use some sort of interface?

I connect my gnx4 through a usb and garageband recognizes it as input/output. There's several other things you could use, but I'm not really aware of all them. I think as another example, a line 6 toneport would work

Thanks! I just used the distortion from my gnx4 and then eq'd the sound a little after recording it. The big difference with my guitar is that I installed EMG 81/85s in it because the stock pickups werent cutting it for metal. I had the same tone you do with my old pickups
