(cont) Looks like the scope is a Luep x8-25 boosted to x20x50, which is what I use on top of Anschutz 9003 12ftlbs..the thing is because these guns do not have the power you have to aim off of a target.... 8" or more in the wind in some cases... you have 2 mins to shoot two targets..Try it!

This rifle is used for Field Target shooting... shooting at knock down targets over ranges from 10yds out to 55 yds.the large wheel on the parallax is used to gauge the distance of the target and you can use the top turret to adjust for pellet drop etc.

Hmm,if you were competition target shooting you would be using diopter sights not a scope off a .50cal(Not perm),that windage wheel is dreadful too.Its a nice rifle,but only any good for target shooting,useless for anything else.Thats why have target guns and hunting guns.Target guns are usualy less powerful than hunting guns as the range required is less,using less power improves accuracy as there is less blast behind the pellet at the muzzle to destabilise it.Hope you like shooting paper.

.22lr 1.5 miles .............................r­ight.............i been studying ballistic theory for years 22 is usefull out to 200 yard max and even then an eye or temple shot is prefered.............from your comments you just reading from other sites and posting your interpretation as bs i used 22lr and .22 air an fac .22 air rifle can go way more powerfull than this.....if this gun was fac tuned i would put it against ANY .22lr besides if its power you want then get the Dragon Slayer .50 cal

@fireyphoenix1989 The 1.5miles figure comes from what is written on the side of the Eley high velocity .22lr packaging.What i wrote is from personal experience not other websites,I have been shooting for 19 years.With the 1.5 mile figure you must take into account trajectory,if shot parallel to the ground I doubt it would go that far,you'd have to sit down and do the math.

a shot like that would be taken the over `40 in to the sky a ballistics computer would struggle to give a fire solution due the the amount windspeed changes at altitudes the round would have to be shot at a artilery like angle except the 22 lr is so light that it just would not retain energy eg ma range on 22 air is say 100 yards max safety range on tin or gun 500 yards all ammo is labled far over range as its a bit of liability protection for the producer of ammo

@lexmark136 with a $500 .22 you may outshoot a Steyr @ 55yds if you know what you are doing and have the weather on your side, but theres a reason many competition shooters use steyr, EV2 and AA 410 for FT shooting, and thats build quality, proven acuracy, and personal preference.

In any hoby or profession there is always a high quality top-of-the-line option as well as the entry level and mid range. Just becuase you prefer the mid range it doesnt make the top level pointless or useless.

If want to kill things bigger than a rabbit at close range you will need more than 12 ft/lbs,the 12ft/lbs limit,is a government set power limit so that airguns have only minor lethality.Mainly because kids shoot them in their backyard without thinking about the backstop,so they have to be regulated.Ten yards on a rabbit with 12ft/lbs is effective,but any farther and you are pushing your luck.

Yeah, but power is only half the story. You could have all the power in the world but if the gun (or the shooter) can't place it right then what's the point? 12ft/lbs of power is ENOUGH power to put most things out if placed correctly.

When I shot competiton target our ranges were 10 and 20 metres,he'll find it low power too when he fires it as they shoot for accuracy not to kill.Glad someone else on here knows what they are talking about.The huge scope would not be allowed and the silencer is pointless.

THIS GUN,was intially designed for 10 /20 meter target shootin (paper)

it was then modded, to be used in field target shooting,out to a max of 55 yards

the scope is a lupe,and is ideal for that distance,once the parralex has been reset

the power is set to just under 12lb,which is our legal setting in britain,this gun,is quite cable of takeing quarry up to 45 yards and dispatching it

its all about placement of shot,not power :)

also if u aint sure,you can take the shot,dont take it
