I was worried Anoop Dawg was going to perform with the Dirty Sanchez mustache he was sporting during his interview packet, but thankfully he shaved it (are you paying attention, Kris Allen?). Unfortunately, he wore a blazer with shoulder pads so big it recalled Janet Jacksons Rhythm Nation look. Not a very good song choice or performance - Anoop was singing with a sneering, stank face the whole time. The back-up singers wonked up royally too.

I honestly did not get what the judges hated about this...it wasn't his best (he had the stank face while performing...probably why people did not connect...bec. everyone knows he's so not like that) but he did a very good job on this considering how almost iconic the song is....

I actually think Anoop has a great, smooth, perfect pitch voice. He was always in my top three of Idol (Danny, Adam, then Anoop. The first time I heard him sing on Idol, I didn't expect the voice that came out of him--like others that commented here, his looks don't match his voice for some reason. Anoop will go far in the recording industry. He never got the credit on Idol that he deserved.
