I really need help. i'm stuck at the part after adding 'tools' to the path. i did it exactly how you said but when i open eclipse it says could not find folder 'tools' inside SDK 'C:\\Users\erjoshix\desktop\Android Related\;..... Why does it say this and how do i fix it? Thanks.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong... every tutorial I look at shows "window" and "Android SDK and AVD Manager".. Mine has both SDK and AVD managers but they are not one option, they are 2 and they look nothing like your example here.
I can't imagine how much it would have cost to have some guy come to my office and set this up for me, and maybe not have done as good a job and me not even have learned how to do it for the money i would have had to spend on it. Professional, A number One work here.
Hey Buddie-- i just wanted to say what an excellent, excellent tutorial this was. I have been banging my head against a brick wall for over a week trying to get this thing to configure, load and work properly && found your tutorial by accident, and am very glad. I am working out of three or four expensive books-- none bothered to show how to set up this way-- especially the System Variables part, & i was at a stand-still til i got this part down. Kind regards, mark-p. at RedFlagMobileDotCom .
need help with eclipse i have done everthing u said got it all working my android apps are in eclipse tab and i have done a hello world app is shows up on the emulater and all seem good just that i dont have sdk & avd manager as one in the eclipse tab thay are both there as a single choice help

i did what you said and it all seem to work i have the android setting in my eclipse bar and all seen well but for the android sdk and android manager are not as one but 2 options in the window tab.but i did get it running any clue???

Hello. Great tutorial video. Thanks for putting it up. Can you tell what you have in your PATH variable? I messed up and deleted the previous paths when I put in the jdk path and now it only has the jdk path in my environment variable line. I know that I screwed up because when I open the SDK manager the command box will flash on the screen and then disappears. I need help. Thanks.
What version of Eclipse are you using? I could not find the install new software on the version 3.3.2 that I am using! Great tutorial up to that point though!!
Dude! Thanks a million! I was never able to get all this installed before watching your tutorial. Nice black and white instructions, thanks a bunch!!!
Whenever i click on the sdk like in the seciton 4:15 it opens up and it closes right away? so far i have done everything right. I am on a win. 7 home prem. 64-bit....what is going on?
Great tutorial...very in depth...especially with the inclusion of the path settings under mycomputer which I assume is for compatibility with winXP. A little fast paced but I am sure thats due to time constraints on video recording. Overall very good tutorial that has helped me tons. Im running win 7 x64 and needless to say it is a little quirky when it comes to development tools. Thanks.
AAGGGHH I did everything and none of those Android options are in my Eclipse menus. Like the Android SDK and AVD Manager is NOT under Window and I dont have any Android option in Preferences. PLEASE HELP btw im on a Windows 64 bit computer
@Pavtsa What version of eclipse are you running? And did the sdk package install properly? When you put the eclipse and sdk onto your computer dont put them into the programs folders..Its better to place them into somewhere like my documents, or just on the top tier of the C drive or any drive. If you are not seeing the options or the SDK in eclipse then something went wrong with the install of the sdk..

@EnVyDa5waG yeah you have to install the Google USB driver package from inside the Anrdroid SDK and AVD Manager. That will allow you send files to an actual device and do testing.
