  • Hey Buddie-- i just wanted to say what an excellent, excellent tutorial this was. I have been banging my head against a brick wall for over a week trying to get this thing to configure, load and work properly && found your tutorial by accident, and am very glad. I am working out of three or four expensive books-- none bothered to show how to set up this way-- especially the System Variables part, & i was at a stand-still til i got this part down. Kind regards, mark-p. at RedFlagMobileDotCom .

  • Best Start up Guide, he gets Right to the point no Fillers, no miss details. Not to mention wonderful HD quality with both sound and video

  • Great tutorial...very in depth...especially with the inclusion of the path settings under mycomputer which I assume is for compatibility with winXP. A little fast paced but I am sure thats due to time constraints on video recording. Overall very good tutorial that has helped me tons. Im running win 7 x64 and needless to say it is a little quirky when it comes to development tools. Thanks.

  • awesome tutorial i highly suggest this for anyone beginning android development!

  • AAGGGHH I did everything and none of those Android options are in my Eclipse menus. Like the Android SDK and AVD Manager is NOT under Window and I dont have any Android option in Preferences. PLEASE HELP btw im on a Windows 64 bit computer

  • @Pavtsa What version of eclipse are you running? And did the sdk package install properly? When you put the eclipse and sdk onto your computer dont put them into the programs folders..Its better to place them into somewhere like my documents, or just on the top tier of the C drive or any drive. If you are not seeing the options or the SDK in eclipse then something went wrong with the install of the sdk..

  • AAGGGHH I did everything and none of those Android options are in my Eclipse menus. Like the Android SDK and AVD Manager is NOT under Window and I dont have any Android option in Preferences. PLEASE HELP

now have the sdk adt and eclipse. and working on live wallpaper

  • @ecryan think i'm gonna make a remix

  • Does anyone know why i cant run my code?

  • @CookiexTheif ..Not sure why your code will not run there are various reasons why they may happen. One, if you have any errors in your code in Eclipse, Second if you do not have a virtual device setup in the AVD manager, Third if you do not have a Minimum SDK target set in the XML manifest it will not compile. Those are some of the reason that i can think of hope this helps.

  • is this all free?

  • @CookiexTheif Yes these are all free software that you can download from the separate websites. Nothing extra needed.

  • Thank you very much- especially with PATH navigation!

  • @bitsofrealpanther2 No problem. We are all here to help out each other, Open source..Thanks for the feedback!

  • Oke:P

  • Thanks for the feedback guys, i was really hoping that I was clear and concise with my explanation in the video and it seems as though i accomplished that. Im really happy to know that my vid help out.

    Happy Developing.

  • Great tutorial it worked on my first try. one more thing is there any way i send the app i created on my android device?

  • @EnVyDa5waG yeah you have to install the Google USB driver package from inside the Anrdroid SDK and AVD Manager. That will allow you send files to an actual device and do testing.

  • Great job on this video. You were superb in your step by step, no meaningless conversation like in some tutorials, strictly business and very clear. I hope to see more from you in the future.

  • Thanks a lot, you made it so easy to figure out. I couldn't for the life of my figure out how to install all the stuff to begin programming for Android.

  • thanks man your the best everybody else was doing things different.
