Hawky: could you gimme some drill on achieving your fast clubhead speed without getting out of sync. I play 8 hcp and i strike with 3/4 swing most of the time and I want to keep my clubhead speed to be consistently fast. I hit my 8 around 155-160yrds. much obliged.
@imageplayer,,,, work on building up the strength in the forearms this is the muscles that moves the clubhead , the body and arms move the shaft and grip but the forearms move the head of the club, thanks for the question let me know if i can help ,, hitmanhawky
Hawk it looks like you are setting up with the clubface open. Do you always do that or is this setup shot specific?
The reson I ask is because when I hold the angle from the top thru the downswing I tend to close the clubface. I am trying to setup with the face more open but it just doesnt feel right in the backswing. What are your thoughts?
@beastyp that was a great observation by the way and the face is a fraction open to the feet hips shoulder line i was trying to start it on my feet line hit a higher cut , it came off a high straight shot, i do it alot going into greens this shot shape is most consistent shot shape for distance control , it looks also like this is a weak grip but it is the strongest grip in golf logo of glove square with target and clubface pointed at target , tiger and jack uses this grip and release, thanks
