Nashville & Eastern Railroad Corp. owns and maintains the line they also run freight trains.

Also Tennessee Central Railway Museum runs occasional excursion trains

There is a second crossing nearby and a traffic signal. I'd actually love to see the traffic signals interaction with the train, if any. Pretty please? LOL!

PS, love the music. I'm not usually a fan of music laid across videos because it is poorly done, covering times I'd rather hear the sound from the video. You do a great job (and I like your choices).

sadely the traffic lights dont interact with the railroad crossings

however when i have a chance iam going to get another video of that crossing but it wount be for awhile

i hear what you say i cant stand it when music ruines a train video thats why i only use music in the intros and endings

however due to youtube crakeing down on music i use i can no longer play music on my intros

I wish the Music City Star would run more and that they would hurry up and build more routes. I love Nashville but our public transit needs some serious help. I would take a bus or train to work to save on gas if I could.

yah same here this was a "starter" project and a test to see how rail would do

sadely its done good for the area for what there running but their(rta)projections were less than half the ridership so its simi failing

its sad but they brought it on them shelfs

only running trains every hour in the morning and afternoon only not building good sideings

but we really need a good system and in the future star might be but it isnt now for more info check out their website

There's one stop I came across all the way in Portland that I go over when delivering, and the freight trains that go through there are at top speed.

wrong line here are some facts

1. trains can only go 40 tops if that

2.the music city star is in nashville tn

3.its a shortline rr that owns the track very rarely do freight trains used these track

4. its pritty much all one track so there is no way for u to see a freight

How many trains cross those tracks per day? It seems like there is a really high volume of cars there, and it could be a dangerous railroad crossing.

well weekdays the commuter train runs in the morning and the evening there are about 12-15 aday check out the music city star link for a schedule

but the shortline that ownes the crossing (nashville and eastern)rarely uses the tracks

and really no this isnt a dangerous crosing

just down the tracks it crosses a state highway 45 thats probley a dangerous one

1.Its a 55MPH highwaybut people go 60+ +

2.there is NO place to park

3. I dont have a death wish

I think any RR crossing is dangerous if there's too many stupid, impatient over confident people who think they can make it. Human error seems like it's always the cause of the danger.

NO at grade crossing is

truely "Dangerous" its the people

that make it "DANGEROUS" that what i ment

at that highway 45 crossing is every one would speed up to bet the train and i would be a big hazard and it would be a hazard for me too

i know where you can find a safetran type 1. BNSF has a few of those in california, one in merced by the amtrak station, i seen a video of it. other than that i dont know their exact locations.

well i like the lightrail line we have in st louis mo much better (i took some video of that too just look it up)

this was the last train to pass this crossing heading to lebanon in the morning and is at 8:43am the next train will come at this station at 3:47pm
