@Fisurame No estamos hablando de los EEUU y los EEUU no esta amenazando sus vecinos. Cuando has oido que los EEUU quiere ocupar las Bahamas por ejemplo?
Britain has controlled the Falklands since 1833. Argentina's only claim to them seems to be proximity. Argentina behaves like China toward Taiwan - they have no conception of self-determination for the people who have lived there, independently, for years and years.
@helloseahorseandme And where does Latin America belong? Certainly not in America. With the exception of Peru, Paraguay and Bolivia, the whole continent is dominated by European colonists.
@helloseahorseandme The British have had a claim to the Islands from 1774 yet Argentina didn't even exist until 1816. How about all the people on the mainland with Southern European blood hand back Argentina to the indigenous South Americans and then we'll have a look at the Falklands...
@rightfredsdead I saw something in the Sun a couple of weeks ago that really wound me up. It was anti Moslem said something along the lines that extremist Moslems blow themselves up whilst liberal Moslems support these killers. When I think of the hatred my Moslem friends have for the terrorists and how desperate they are to show how British they are.
I hope someone sues the Sun for this disgraceful bit of racism which may well inflame nationalist and racist idiots in our country.
@rightfredsdead It is strange how nationalist lunacy always takes precedence over common sense.
Not long after the events shown here, I mentioned in Gdynia, Poland that it would be better for them if Gdańsk was still a free city as it had been before the war. You can no doubt imagine the response.
@rightfredsdead Good point. If I were a Falkland Islander I would want to be part of Argentina! Just think of the fantastic weather! And then those smashing Argentinian girls!!! Whoarr!!!!
@Sibs1990 Hi there, "Land of hope and glory" is the first line of a lyric written to fit the music of the composer Elgar. He entitled the piece, "Pomp and circumstance".
Of Brazil. Argentines are an irrational people. Do not take care of their territory and aconomia in crisis and irrational leaders and demagogues. Galtieri wanted due attention to the economic crisis. Solution, taking the islands. They took a beating and is now impossible. It is easier for Argentina to win the 3rd World Cup than take over the islands. At Mount Pleasant, a base full of SAM missiles,a 3D radar for air defense and a squadron of Panavia Tornado ADV. And the nuclear submarine attached
@aczjbr It is not Argentine people who are not taking care of the territory, it is individual greedy bastards who ruined the country. and the Malvinas is Argentine land period. It is fuckig thousands of miles away from.
@linardzb If distance is what interests you then you should go back to where you or your family came from. Thousands of miles away back in Europe. Then the native Americans who originally lived in what is today Argentina can have their land back.
@alanheath3 That's a quite ubsurd and unreal what you are saying here. It is part of the history and evolution, GB at that point had half of the world in their dominance, it was pure greed what led to the these huge modern day casualities, there is absolutely no justification for English Navy actions, when Argentine submarine was already retreating, but the agressive English command decided to kill over 300 men (Bloody redicilous). I am not from Argentina by the way.
@linardzb What is absurd? That people have the right to go from Europe, steal land from the natives and then try stealing land from others too? I admit it is unlikely that these European settlers will return and even more unlikely that the natives will get their land back.
No Argentinian submarine. The aggression was by the junta who attacked the UK. The Belgrano was manouvering and there would have been no justification if the ship had not been attacked.
@linardzb you must take care of it already has. Especially with their politicians, worse than my country. Its economy goes from bad to worse. Neither you nor with all the South American navies would be enough to face the might of the Royal Navy, even in economic crisis. In 1981 the UK was in crisis. It is easier for the 3rd World Cup. they found more oil in the islands. they have right there. never hear an Argentine population. you never had the Navy. UK has 400 years of naval tradition.
@Sibs1990 song is called 'Land of Hope and Glory' a british patriotic song.. you can hear an original from 1911 on wikipedia if you do a search for it.
@Sibs1990 I assume you are not British because everyone knows the music in the UK. Only I can't remember what it is called. I remember the version we used to sing at school......
@Georgebushbent hahaha here comes thicko here, funny how you resort to racism when you want your non recognized country to join a union with the Spanish
I would imagine that an argentinian would not be very proud of a military dictatorship invloved in an agression against a democratic country. I have to also point out that the brittish landed on the falklands long before there even was anything remotly resembling an argentinian nation.
@mortimerk180 You would think that you own it. In 1833 Britain conqured the FALKLANDS. When the Argentines INVADED in 1982 the people asked for BRITISH LIBERATION. They did not want to live under a nation of degenerates who blame every single damn thing on foreigners. You Argentinians must get your own house in order using your own resources and NO ONE ELSES. The Falklands are British. Deal with it you f***ing a**hole.
So Argentina vas problem all ready in 1970s but stil Royal Navy scrap its true aircraft carriers Eagle and Ark Royal ?
