You CAN have more than 16 instrument....in fact, you can have up to 128 different tracks which can include 24 audio tracks.

every time i save a file as smf it saves it with the wrong patch. example my beats get saved as a piano. so to sum thing up, how do i export songs from my fantom g6?

I guess you can use pattern mode or just skip to the part you wanna record to. I honestly dont make songs on the Fantom, since i use pro tools and logic

Hi,nice video...I read you use LOGIC & Pro Tools, so you don't use the fantom to make songs, but te question is: Do you think the FANTOM is a real alternative to make songs??..Is it as professional as a software to do that?....And the other question is, do you recommend Fantom to use it as a backing tracks player on stage?...sorry for my english my friend.

i use the fantom's sounds. im not sure if im the right person to suggest the fantom as an alternative to make songs, but you could if you are good enough I assume...

I really appreciate your respond my firend, well it seems I must try to do it and see what happens, I just updated my stuff (software & keyboards) because I was some like retired of this because school & work (for about 6 years!).,so I bought the Fantom to combine its modern capabilities with my E-MU EMAX II, ROLAND JD-800, ENSONIQ ESQ1, DSS1, and some others.,but a few years ago it was more common to use groove box, external sequencers and more, and Pro Tools was not as simple as it is today.

Why does the Mixer-mode sound blander than the Patch mode sounds ... How Would I use the patchmode sounds through the mixer ??

They dont sound bland. Its just that in patch mode you here those sounds with FXs. You cant use those in mixer mode but you can always use the 3 MFX processors to make your sounds sound different

Oh ok that makes sense ! The same with "Layers" too ... when I do the layers, i love the sounds, but cant control them like I want. Mixer Mode, I just have to put fx on them ?
