  • I dont know about any one else but that song tugs the hearts strings no matter what Language its in!

  • I wish they have Russian, Ukrainian, Vietnamese!

  • *sniffles*

  • Italian ** :D

  • they dont have the korean version inside, buaaaa*

  • I guess the people who watched the Hebrew version were the ones who could understand every word in the movie, since the Hebrew chior is in every version.

  • @airbendingavatar1

I actually watched the English version and understood everything EXCEPT the Hebrew part, because:

    1. It's in Biblical Hebrew, which I can understand, but it's kinda hard.

    2. I couldn't understand their accent. ^.^

Only at the end I went to check the words in the internet. But it really didn't changed a thing, since it's beautiful even without understanding.

    Ashira l'adonai ci gaoh ga'a X2

    Mi hamoha ba-elim, Adonai

    Mi camoha ne'edar ba-codesh

    Nahita be-hasdeha, am zu ga'alta.

  • where was russian, correct me if i missed it?

  • @bh5496 A Russian version wasn't made. As far as I know it wasn't politically acceptable to screen such a religious movie. I may be wrong though, I heard that second-hand.

  • beautiful

i remember seeing this when i was little thinking Wow! they put the bible in a movie! now i watch it and realize how beautiful and emotional this really is...

  • Hebrew. For this song only Hebrew.

  • Beauty achieved in many languages. I loved them all!

  • 23 European languages + 4 Asian languages + Hebrew! (I consider Brazilian Portuguese and American Spanish to just be Portuegese and Spanish) Not a single African language. Not a single Native American language. And only 4 Asian languages. Highly skewed to the West!:(

Although this is probably just because there aren't enough resources, but it's sad!:(

  • I like the fact that its in different languages in this video and you can see the people coming together. That is how real life should be. We all struggle and need to come together from all corners of the Earth don't matter where you from, what you speak or what you look like. We are all Gods children and need to come together

  • I'm italian....

    italian version is the best!

  • Im Thai and i pround in Thai and In Thai part its amazing.

  • @4evaisrael may her memory be a blessing.

  • where's the Bulgarian version?!?!

  • I wonder...what if they made a Latin version? lol

  • @WanderingProphet why? what's the point?

  • @AdamG319 Just for fun...that's what I meant by lol

  • You hear that? It's the sound of world peace. 8D

  • can SOMEONE TRANSLATE THE HEBREW CHOIR

  • @alien2350 "from my mouth bursts the words that were prisoned a long time ago"

    a quick translate

  • @alien2350 I saw a Hebrew translated video, its on the web, but I think it says something about praise GOD. =) GOD bless you

  • @conqueringiants I dididn´t do it, some other channel did and I saw it thal GOD, and for GOD´s Honor and Glory. GOD bless

  • The Greek voices are Christina Argyri and Elli Kokkinou !!!!!!

  • I love how it seems that all the languages sort of melt into one, big language. It's very touching, especially when you consider the message in the song.

  • Hopefully you understood at least a little bit of the song.

  • This song....this whole movie is so powerful...It really shows how everyone....every culture has the same desire for peace, no matter what the religion is, even this talks about Christianity, it's a story of an oppressed people finding freedom....all these languages....it's just fantastic...

  • I have the Japanese, Italian, German, and Icelandic versions on meh iPod, I listen to them whenever I need a pick-me-up :P

very beautiful song with a powerful meaning that doesn't change- no matter how many languages you find it in

  • since I speak English i think that is one of the most worst ones since it isn't interesting to listen to. but its still beautiful!

  • Dis is beautiful!!!!! I'm wondering tho how dis would sound in Vietnamese..!?

  • This song is beautiful. And the choir in Hebrew is just...wow.

This is a true testament of the human race at one of it's highest points, to be able to sing in different tongues and still make you understand.

I like the original, but it's nothing compared to this.

  • All the languages are amazing!!

    But I'm from Spain so...

    SPAIN!!!

  • i don't know why people are picking out which language is the best, i think they are sound marvelous and its wonderful that they can blend so well. many songs, one message.

  • I'm sure the 13 dislikes were made by accident!!

  • Japanese and Castilian!!!! <3

  • Italian and english twice but no russian hah...

  • Thai!!!!!

  • hebrew sounds awesome

  • @joa123ize , i think that's wonderful! The people there are Hebrew, so that part deserves to be awesome!

  • Japanese and italian... The best!!

  • Hey, Thai was included. nice

  • How funny, all languages, seems like was one languages in the past! :)

  • I saw this movie when I was very young, but only at a later age I had the emotional capacity to understand it really.

This movie just made me realize how much I should be grateful that I belong to these people, for being part of them...

I am a Jew, and proud of it! I couldn't ask for better.

  • @kim00222 Jew religion, jew from Israel or both? Cause I really recomend Christian, remember JESUS loves you and HE gave you such a blesing of being from there. =) GOD bless you and lookat Christianity it comes from CHRIST, THE SON of GOD that paid for all our sins, (in case you are not christian) remember I can help if you want to be one. GOD bless you!!!

  • @conqueringiants Both. and like I said, I am proud to be Jewish, and forever remain so. I say this without any hesitation, Trust me :)

  • @conqueringiants Why should we Jews be Christians? You don't know how rude that is. Stop proselytizing to us. If we wanted to be Christian, we already would be.

  • @AdamG319 I´m not trying to be rud, I am trying to be nice and help. And maybe a lot of jews are not christians cause they don´t know the truth or how it works I am telling you the truth =). Remember JESUS loves you sooo much! =D

  • @conqueringiants we hear this all the time. your truth is not our truth. if you care at all, stop.

  • @conqueringiants Okay, Jews are Jews because we want to be. It's rude telling people who are totally content with their religion that they should be Chrisitans, or any other religion. Judaism is based on faith, just as Christianity is based on with. We don't believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Like AdamG said, your truth is not our truth. Respect our beliefs and we'll respect yours.

  • @AdamG319 I think it's more like, if God decided HE wanted you to be Christian, you would be.

  • @kim00222 Dude this can one make proud to be a human. It like the virtues of humankind are all compressed into these 5 mins. No wonder so many people are crying when they watch it.

And for the guy who said "for this song only Hebrew" try watching it again in a few years and try to get the meaning than. This is ONE good story and a very famous one. But im sure it happens all the time. Seen and unseen by others. You dont have to be religious. Just faithful and a good person to archieve something.

  • who could hate this song?

  • Many languages, one voice!

  • This is nice.

  • Im glad dreamworks was willing to go the extra mile to make a movie that would touch the world, not just america. Well done!

  • How come it's not done in HIndi? Just curious.

  • I like japanese a lot

..I wanted to hear korean version :(

  • Wow, they found people with the same voice in all the counties, wow!!!

  • Definitly the most beautiful song ever written. It never fails to wet my eyes but this multilanguage version makes me outright cry.

Never heard Islandic and Hebrew before. Both sound wonderful.

  • italian, french, hebrew, japanese are the best versions!!!!

  • I'm curious (and I'm sorry if I sound ignorant), but where is Flemish spoekn?

  • @KazexNoxKatana Parts of Belgium.

  • I got goosebumps when the Hebrew choir finished and then went to Swedish :)

  • amazing! thank you for this video!! :) Japanese... It's fantastic!! :) I love this song and this film too!! :)

  • perfect! thank you for this video!! :) Japanese... It's fantastic!! :)

  • perfect! thank you for this video!! :) Japanese... It's fantastic!!

  • perfect! thank you for this video!! :)

  • @ RondoVenazianoHere: Oh yeah? And you want to when your

information that seems so true? I am perhaps

be not Jewish, but will read the Bible, the Torah, and especially

the Koran, then you can tell if the history of Jews

is true or not, okay Mr. I-Know-All?

  • I'm in tears!!!!! It takes alot to make me cry but this is just so beautiful and so touvhing in many ways!!!!!!! Words can't even describe how amazing this is.

  • 28 Languages, We can't find these kind of dedication in these day, somewhat proud that my Thai was included.

  • @MeenchawitTH

Actually, plenty of movies are dubbed in lots of languages. This isn't unique.

  • I am an israeli Jewish, and i was just amazed to hear this video.

Very touchfull, especially in the original language, Hebrew.

The part of the song that lasts between 3:22 - 4:30, was taken from the Bible.

  • @ZivRulez

Can you get me the exact scripture?

  • I wonder if there is a version with a chorus made up of all the different languages together at the same time. I think it'll probably be unintelligible, but the melody will still be there. Anyone up for this?

  • "The truth is that virtually every modern archeologist who has investigated the story of the Exodus, with very few exceptions, agrees that the way the Bible describes the Exodus is not the way it happened, if it happened at all." - rabbi David Wolpe in 2001

    -

the "Exodus" story was total fiction meant to allow future jews to make land grabs upon Egypt. The parasite jews were never even allowed to enter sacred Egypt so they invented vengeful lies about how the Egyptians had enslaved them.

  • Excuse me owner of this video, did you not notice the Copyright at the end even in the white text. My my... expect a youtube ban ;) <3 :P

  • Aaron going to grab his man-purse is about as fast as animation is allowed to make a normal human walk.

  • I love the movie:') Mierda you didi it again...Ich hab feuchte Oci!

  • สุดยอดอ่ะ มีหลายภาษาเลย T_T

  • Yeah, it made me cry too. Its so deep and touching. Just believe we´re just one world. One history; we live down the same sky. All the singers were amazing, they just feel the same and sung with love. I love this movie since I was 5 year old! All the Bible is amazing specially Moses and the 10 laws!

  • Beautiful!

I'm Jewish and Hebrow spraker, and I was really touched theat in all languages there is a part in Hebrow from the Bible.

Amazing movie! it's hard to believe that more then 10 years since it was released....

The part in Hebrow say: מפי פורצים הדיבורים שבי כלואים מזמן

it's mean: From my mothe coming out the sayings that were trapped long ego.

Pronounce: Mipi porzim hadiborim shebi klueim mizman.

The most amazing song ever written!

  • I cried out when I listened to this song although I can't understand all language.

  • I think all the languages are beautiful. The harmony with the Hebrew singers were so so sweet.

  • Excuse this religious preference, but I thought the ending was amazing! They combined most of the languages of the world in this video and at the very end they showed the commandments that God gave all his people to follow. I thought that was a touching moment because it shows that everyone is connected through God no matter their language or country. This was a beautiful music video! Thanks for the upload I enjoyed it very much!! :)

  • CANTONESE!

  • CANTONESE lyrics:

    神能量在身邊 永恆不變 (如你相信)

    Literally means:

Gods power always surround you till eternity (if you believe)

    Pronounced as:

san nang loeng zoi san bin wing hang bat bin (jyu nei soeng seon)

*Cantonese is a kind of Chinese which is common in Guangdong Province of China, including Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou.

  • THAI FTW!! :D

  • French sounds beautiful! Japanese is the best!

  • This movie is amazing-- the dialogue, the animation, everything.

  • Finnish:

    Sydämissä laulu soi

    Translation:

In our hearts the song is playing

    or something like that :D

  • OMG THIS IS AWESOME!!!

  • great video :) and, there's also a croatian version of the song

  • I think it´s better to see the all versions to have a better opinion

  • It's amazing. Thanks for sharing :)

  • Castilian Spanish lyrics :D

La esperanza no ha de morir.

    It's just a sentence but it's beautiful :D

  • Well done!!! Loved it.

  • wow..they didn't make an Egyptian version of The Prince of Egypt ?!! that's weird !!

  • Egyptions speak arabic?

  • Yeah..that's what I meant ..They speak Egyptian Arabic

  • @kuzzlenuzzle Yep. Egyptian was dropped soon after the Muslim Empire conquered Egypt. Since then most Egyptians have been speaking Arabic as an official language.

  • @ChivKnight did Egyptians lose their language and Arabic replace it ?! i don't think so .yes it changed but they didn't lose it. if you know Dr. Ossama Alsaadawi , he had a very good study about Egyptian language.

  • @mewoone egypyian is a dead language you tool just like latin!!!!!

  • @ovidovibabe i read many studies about the matter but really i find Dr. Ossama Alsaadawi study is very impressive. i mean yes Egyptian language didn't exit (as it was in the past) but if you are Arabian you will find the Egyptian dialect very different then other..

  • @didosf well Joseph and the Slaves were Hebrew not Egyptian so it would make more sense to make a Hebrew version (which they did). Thats what I think

  • I didn't say it make no sense to make a Hebrw version..I said it makes no sense to make a movie entitled "The Prince of Egypt" without making an Arabic version

Keeping in mind that the Arabic language-according to Wkipedia- is spoken by 280 million people as a first language, and by 250 million more as a second language!

  • yeh yeh... have you noticed that the prince of Egypt is Jewish? the name has nothing to do with publishing an Arabic language

  • They shouldnt have made an English or a French version then...I guess ?!!

  • utut

  • awesome! I love it! I just wished there was Tagalog

  • the hebrew choir part doesnt sound right

(im israeli) but it sounds like a little boy in the beginning lol

  • I think you are right and it is a little boy. But isn't it supposed to be all the children singing?

I don't know Hebrew very much (I'm American :) ) but the first word in the choir part sounds strange to me. It sounds like "ashira" (which I assume actually is "lashir(a)" (to sing) and I'm hearing it wrong) but what is the (a) sound at the end of the word?

In any event, I love this song. It gives me goosebumps every time.

  • nope its meant to be ashira

like i am singing/i will sing

its also a little weird because its in ancient biblical hebrew so its not modern at all

and yeah totally agreed bout the goosebumps

    lmao

  • its "ashira" = "i will sing".

the whole choir lyrics (in the hebrew version) is quotes from "the song of the sea" that according to Exodus the israelis sang right after passing through the red sea.

[BTW, also all of the text god says in the hebrew version in the movie is only quotes from exodus (the most exciting one is when moses speaks to the burning bush)

  • Wow! Wonderfull song!!!

There's even polish, but honestly (I'm from Poland) I have no idea what are they singing :p lol

  • BTW, swedish lyrics:

    Det sker ett underverk

    Din tro ger liv

Translation: There is a miracle, your faith brings life.

  • "l'espoir est l'oiseau d'été toujours vite oublié" ^^ je suis française, et c'est la meilleure version!

    This is the best version!!

    Beautiful, magnifique!

  • wow cool. many many languages, but where is russian??? i' m a little bit disappointed.

  • I was disappointed couse the didn't have swahili :P......But I still I love the song :)

  • the hebrew choir is a quotes from the torah - when mirriam sings a song called "the song of the sea" - all that part is quotes from that song.

  • I cried, it was beautiful

  • It's amazing!!! It's really impressed of me!!!

  • wow this sounds so good, usually when dubbing is done in different languages the rest suck in comparison with the original but these are all good =O

is it the same people singing or did they find a different person for each language? because they sound the same to me. i'm impressed!

  • Yeah, they found different person for each language, they did a good job :)

  • They sure did. I actually found out a few hours ago that the beginning song of his mother was actually sung by the same singer though, Ofra Haza. Wow 26 languages, she had to practice alot.

  • actually, she sang in only 17, which is still impressive to me. about half of them she sang phonetically so her hebrew accent remained, making it sound more authentic.

  • Comment removed

  • they found different, which is impressive, but I know for a fact that the swedish singer for miriam is the eurovision winner Carola.

  • ooooohhhh

    Hungarian is the best !!!!!!!!4

     and Polishhhhhhhh , friend country 4ever :)

Why miss the turkish version ??? :((((((

    Turkish friendddd country

  • I have this on the original DVD on special features.

  • whoever made this version is brilliant!

i think that the hebrew version was great ( i speak hebrew) but i also liked the czech and hungarian versions.

  • I think all the versions are beautiful, they all make me cry even when I don't understand the languages, because I just know the message is exactly the same...

  • GOD IS GREAT.

    this was so beautiful

  • That was so beautiful!

And I can't believe they even added a brazilian portuguese part <33

  • HO yesss.s.s.. When You Believe

  • No turkish :((... Or isn't there a turkish one.

  • YAY Japanese! I AGREE BEST SONG EVER WRITTEN!

  • i know hebrew (i am a jewish) so i like hebrew and hungary lol it sound like hebrew (:

  • i know its in most languages but there is one that over 30 countries speak and that theyve missed out...and thats arabic.....but it was still good though

  • משיח משיח משיח!!!!!!!

  • ...wow!...this was amazing!...so many people represented...

  • I am so proud to be an Hebrew speaker! :)

  • No Philippines?...:(

  • love it!

  • The best part about this is how you can pick out the languages that you understand in it.

  • Its nice how they put even the harsh languages as beautiful works of art! The solvak languages are pretty tough langs but the movie made them sound so pretty! THIS IS THE BEST SONG EVER WRITTEN

  • The greek, hebrew, japanese, catonese..AHH! THIS SONG IS AMAZING IN ANY LANGUAGE!!! but i have to say that the chorus around the ending inn swedish polish etc. was very well done!

  • Agreed.

  • Lyk COOOL!

  • I love this. We have so many beautiful differences and I love how it's shown in this song since this was such a big moment in history. All of us belong together; we should not remain divided. God bless.

  • We need to stop all wars and live in peace cause we all the same and gold bless you all.

  • Egyyyypt <3 I'll be there, I must be there!

  • It is great in Hungarian too!!!

  • all the languages were beautiful

  • :D Amazing--it's so cool how the voices of the singers are so similar in quality..This is art!

  • I could understand only: Spanish English, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch.
