Just because Pantera songs weren't ridiculously tech, it doesn't mean he's overrated. Dimebag was very influential for incorporating the blues into heavy metal riffs. Chris Broderick for example is way better than the monotonous riffs he plays for Megadeth. But often, in band situations, it's all about keeping it simple. So stfu

Anyways, all his rhythms were a bunch of basic tuned down E-string-only riffs, and the only thing he made worth listening to were the solos, which he heavily overused the harmonic squeal on. Chris Broderick, well he's influenced by A LOT of people. Some of them include country stars. Now, I like Chris, but just 'cause he likes someone doesn't mean I have to. I wouldn't like Dime or a country star.
