Saw Dave ( Tower Bridge) play several years ago...20+ in Hinton,Alberta.
The best song ever done by Tower Bridge was Barbados. Now there's a rip off version of the song done by some (famous?) girl band...some of the words were changed, but the song is unmistakably that of Tower Bridge.
I used to play guitar with Tower Bridge right before Steve and was in Bonnyville the day of the storm visiting the band. The only time I met Steve. And man, I miss Rick! We used to call him Zoos. Dave Barker was the kindest human being I have ever known. I loved Dave like a father and he taught me how to deal with the road. I sure miss him!
my dad played the keys on this video. He still has an old T.A.R. records T-shirt with the band logo in yellow. He misses losing his copy of the E.P., the 45's 'Perfection' and 'Rock 'n Roll'
hahahha My Dad is the one With the reallly blond hair and the yellow t-shirt playing guitar.. His name is steve satchwell and Im his daughter michaela satchwell!!!!!!! hahaha
veryone, dave barker, is kind of my dad. no joke. i am jo montgomerys daughter. Albert Edward Montgomery (monty) was my grandpa. Rob montgomery is my uncle. Dave barker died of Cancer. my mom has his two base guitars in my basement. and a picture of him in her room, no joke.
wow..do you remember the frontiersman from those days?...I rescued Jo from some drunken fool that was bent on accosting her, (she was cute)..Dave was up on stage ...after the set, she went and told him that he owed me a reward...he asked me if I had change for a dollar...man the look on her face...still makes me laff...this one of a few stories...
I remember when Towerbridge played at the Frontiersman in Morinville,Alberta....I used to bounce there in the early 80's, Ray and Linda were big fans...I remember Ray Visted with Dave a lot before he died.....Dave was married to Monty's daughter....I can't recall her name tho'....I thought they were great and they always packed the house.....good times ...so long ago---Burt

The drummer in the video is not the real band drummer. I work with the original guy... His name is Bruce Seal.

Karl "Heinz' was a very gifted lightman when this song came out. Monty had a whack of lighting for the group's live shows.
