Franken is the public leader at this point for liberals. I'm happy to see he's going to be active in the senate, I know the nature of the body is towards centrism and tradition, but he is now a very powerful person, so he could do a lot of good. I hope obama starts puttin forward a more liberal agenda in his second term

@funkyflights They can't pass the bill without a vote of cloture, 60 votes successfully gets cloture and kills a filibuster. They can't even vote on the bill without getting the 60 votes. 51 will do it for the final vote, but they need 60 to get there.
