The Federal Reserve is a government agency that was set up to look like a private bank, to evade the constitutional restrictions. Devaluation of the dollar is not an unintended consequence of their actions. It is the deliberate policy of the Treasury and Fed. The only sound money is a currency based on gold. Since that won't happen, the only intelligent thing to do is to buy as much gold as possible now and ride out the hyperinflation which will surely follow.
