@twistedwest1 ,,The same question used to stare the Sikhs during Mughal persecution but ultimately the truth won.

Even at that time Sikhs were declared as rebels & price was put on their heads.They were then defamed and anyone associated with them would also be declared rebel and arrested,tortured or killed.

That time also Sikhs were fighting against tyranny & not against Islam or any other religion.

@twistedwest1 ,Many muslims in fact helped the Sikhs in fighting the oppressors.Peer Budhu Shah of Sadhoura (a town in Punjab) is worth mentioning, his 2 sons, nephews and many of his followers - sacrificed their lives while fighting the Mugal soldiers.

At the same time great Muslim saints like Baba Farid,Bhagat Kabir find their rightful place in the Guru Granth Sahib and much revered by the Sikhs.

The foundation stone of Darbar Sahib was laid by Saayeen Mian Mir ji.

@twistedwest1 ,Not only the Mughals,Afghans but many Hindus like Chandu,Gangu,Lakhpat,Jaspat Rai,Suchanand ,Baidhaar day raajay etc were enemies of the Sikhs.Sikhs have always been wronged and defamed by others during the various rules including the present bahmanvaadi rule but the fact of the matter is the Sikhs are not against any religion and believe in Sarbat daa Bhalaa ,hence we will win.
