No it isn't, basic physics! There is still a fan, but having it move air across differing pressure zones created from the intake and exhaust area reduction clearly reduces efficiency compared to having same fan out in the open.
There is nothing magical about it, it simply uses more power than a normal fan, creates more noise than a normal fan, to blow air up through a duct shaped like a ring.
Technically speaking it is a terrible way to move air, it just tricks monkeys who are used to seeing fan blades.
Nobody has said how it actually pushes the air through the ring (which then encourages other air to go with it). I suspect there's a fan inside the cylinder which blows upwards and out of the ring. Surely the obvious thing to do is to pull this thing apart on youtube and show us all what's so 'magical' about this hyped up hula hoop.
Sir, You have to do me a big favor. Throw a paper airplane through that fan and post the video. I think with enough fans you might be able to get the paper airplane up to Mach 1.
Hmm, I wonder if this could be used with water instead of air? Computer fans might be a good idea for this as well. Those are just two I thought up in a short amount of time while still half asleep. I think there must be some potential.
Does the fan without propeller comes with air purifier?
