this is "The Tennessee Circle Drill" a signature show and tradition for the University of Tennessee's Pride if the Southland Marching Band performed every year.
Yeah, um, that drill is way to difficult to "traverse" as you said. No band has drill that marches, and any band that would try to not face the direction with drill like this is dumb, because it's not possible. Just watch it.
Yeah, pretty much UT owned, minus the "Battle of the Bands". On the field, which is what matters since they are MARCHING bands, Tennessee left Penn State behind. The Pride is the best band in the nation for quality, sound, precision, tradition, and class. Plus, how many bands PRACTICE in uniforms.
Ohio State practices in uniform too... you're an awesome band, but you're not quite the best =) Tennessee just hired a new Assistant Director for next year who is an OSU grad and has been a Graduate Assistant with The Ohio State University Marching Band for the past 6 years while working on his PhD. Two excellent schools and two excellent bands--tons of mutual respect.
Tennessee has a great band..i love them almost as much as tbitl. But osu really is not much of a show band i will give you that. But you may wanna try and find the video on here of the 2006 michigan game halftime...they did a pretty awesome hollywood show. But as far as talking about tradition almost every major marching band in the country all have arguments. Tennessee and Ohio State both have great traditions and bands. I'd love to see both go head to head haha.
that would be a sight to see, brother. There's a better vid of CD on here, search "Circle Drill 05." That's of the circle drill debut at Neyland that year. I did get to see a vid of the m*ch*g*n game halftime from the bdb. It was awesome.
If you wanna see a great video of probably one of tbdbitl's best yet most unknown traditions search for ohio state marching band-eternal father. This is the song they begin every skull session with.
There's not a band in the conference as disciplined as the Pride. The only other bands I know of in the country that have that level of discipline are Ohio State and Texas A&M. I never get tired of seeing the Pride.
Uhhhh, their playing is awesome. The Pride is the best out there. This video just doesn't have that great sound quality. Don't say their playing is crappy just because of bad quality sound.
I appreciate your compliment on the marching, but, you have no idea what they went through that week, and how demanding that drill is. I agree the sound is tired here, but this was the last runthrough they rehearsed that day. If you saw this band fresh, you'd be amazed.
face it. the blue band didn't come close to the precision, style, tradition, and excellence of this band. The blue band is a 300 member sellout to modern hip hop. They were nothing special at all. I'd like to see them march the circle drill and sound so "good." They didn't even move in half of their show. The Pride NEVER stops.
Go Vols!!!

I like how they where the same thing.
On game days in the Pride of Oklahoma (University of Oklahoma), our practice attire is our Pride shirt and black slacks. Very Professional.

Of course you're partial to the BDBITL, but I challenge you to find a video of them performing a show that can match this.

Do you purposely misspell things? Be a dear and don't insult anyone else until you take freshman English.
