Both piano comcertos one and two are supberb. Known them since I was a young boy and a member of what was then 'The World Record Club., Don't know if anyone else remembers it . But got both these concertos in my first order of two LP's and have been spelbound by them ever since.

the opening of this movement reminds me so much of the 2nd mvmt. of the Khachaturian violin concerto (right before the solo entrance). so haunting and beautiful...

Very good!!Excellent, I didn't know tihs concerto,is beautiful, reminds me the Mahler's 5 symphony adaggieto in some parts.
