The oil filter we were using is a k&n. The filter burst at the oring. They tend to do this if the bike is not completely warm before the burnout. If the oil is cold it has even more pressure than the filter can handle.After we cleaned the oil up I threw a new oil filter on it and made a pass and was quilfied #2. We put a billet oil filter on and have never had a problem after that. k&n filters cannot handle the pressure we have in these motors....

@FragFuel Now thats not true. The busas are heavier out front, get more power, and are longer to start with. plus they are still pretty dang light. Its not like a busa is good on the road, so this is likely the best place for it

@NeedleInTheGroove1 The filter was tight. We were using a k&n oil filter and it exploded at the seal. Anyone who knows Hayabusa will know that with enough oil pressure it will blow the seal out. I went back to the trailer and grabbed the billet filter and that stopped all the trouble we were having....
