In Cambodia, the rich and poor are far apart as heaven and hell.If you been there yu know the elite has money to throw around one evening in a bar more than these poor ever make in 1-2 years wege. The curroption is one big part to blame.

$1 for 30kg is outrageous. Someone up the line is making a killing of what is essentially slave labor. There's a "Fair-Trade Coffee" movement, that ensures coffee growers in developing countries don't get screwed by the multinationals. Perhaps there needs to be NGO's step up and do a similar program for the recycling industry? Unfortunately, coffee is "trendy" with middle-class do-gooders, and is a heck of a lot sexier, and easier to "sell" as a cause than "recycling of garbage dump plastics".
