This is really neat. It makes me think about what is going to happen when copies of physical objects will be made over the Internet as cheaply as you can copy a picture today. I wonder if some sort of biodegradable material could be used, or if the plastic could be melted down and reused after you've finished with it?
@extantproject to your last two questions, yes and yes. ABS is a thermoplastic so it can be re-melted as many times as necessary. And there is a plastic they offer on their site (makerbot com) that is made from corn oil or something and is fully biodegradeable :D
