I have the 1995 GPz 1100, I bought it last year. I am 43 now, and have always rode the Ninja zx10 and 11's. I figured with getting older, I would be little more comfortable on this bike, but I have found that to not be true, so I am going to put mine up for sale and get another zx.
I need something for day blasts across America and the GPZ looks like the crop. the Vmax... well thats for posing and light weekend cruising. (Won't work fro me)
Both bikes are awesome If i were you i would keep them both. because both bikes do well in their own respect. the v-max would do better for long hauls and the gpz would do well for the short hauls and the curvy roads. therfore you have the best in both worlds s keep the gpz if you havent sold it yet!!
It may be faster on the 0-100 scale, but, they advertise your newer model bikes with 1300 cc's and such, none of which can nail the quarter mile in ten seconds

@schumacher69 Actually the Vmax is more comfortable for the long run and fun on the straights. Tork is awesome. The Gpz is great in the curves.

sorry! disagree! vmax much heavier and slower, unless its tuned, and handles MUCH worse worse , and thats where all the fun is! AND skill!

keep the gpz! ditch the posers delight! overweight underpowered tarts handbag!

The gpz and the v max weigh the same. The vmax eats the gpz up and quick. The v max is not under powered. Its actually faster 0 to 100 than the gpz.

I have turned 10.69 in the quarter on the v max. I am buying the new 09 v max. 1700cc 195 horse at the rear wheel. The new bad boy on the street.
