This is amazing. Come on guys, This HAS to be released! It has those hallmark FNM minor keys .... just blissful. And if you have other new material half this good then it we be another great Faith No More album. ....and Mike, you're a fucking genious. Best voice ever!
I've only listened to this a couple of times and to me it already sounds way too good to be an old outtake or something along those lines. I honest daren't allow myself to hope this is the first taste of new material cos you just never know with these things. If it is though I think its really cool how they're keeping everything so close to their chests in this day and age of information overload. Whatever happens this is a fantastic new addition to their legacy.
I definitely think it's a new song, they seemed like they were still figuring it out and working on it (I was in two of the four gigs where they played it, it was awesome seeing it live, BTW). To me, the lyrics are about their rebirth as a band, and if a new album does come out, this is not gonna be the biggest hit, but it's gonna be the soul of the album, the song's got all these detours, layers, really shows their growth as musicians over all these years.
what COULD this be? could it be an obscure cover or a new song? Maybe a well-thought out jam session? Remember, the name of the band is Faith No More...
Amazing this song so epic, i cant stop listening to it. It has to be an original. I Just wish they would offically let us (the hard-core fans) know once and for all.
@Porcacultor I definitely got a Bungle impression for the first couple minutes of the song, maybe it's a combination of something Mike Patton wrote up for Bungle but Roddy added to it and Mike Bordin had an old demo. It's either a new song to him or he just wrote a part for this song. It's missing a crucial atmosphere Mike Bordin throws in his drum lines.

I thought the initial keyboards sounded deceptively like some part of mr. bungle's The Bends. Does anybody feel the same way?
