  • Your engine is stock?

Your 0-100 is about 8.6 sec. which means that you are a second faster than Renault's measurement. :-)

I ask you because I want to buy the car :-)

  • @Orestisren Yes, engine stock ;-)

  • ~8 seconds until 100...damn i love renault:D small engines but huge hp. i can`t wait for me to turn 18 to buy a car, i already have a few in mind but my first choice is a renault

  • @HellsingInstitution

If you love renaulte for this, you have to be love VW! They have sooner smal turbo charged engines, and much better than this Tce... And Golf no only have turbo engines from 1.2 to 2.0!

  • @killer576 VW's TCE or how they call it "TSI" Engines are so much worse than this one.. renault has the best ones. every car-test proofs that. and renault also has the standard 2 litre engine for the megane with 140 hp and also a 2 litre turbo with 180 hp. vw is not bad but renault has the best engines with the best engine-engineers

  • @KingOfQueensFreak88

Sorry but i totally disagree with you!

All test prove WV Tsi is the best engine, (engine of the year in the last 3 year....)

And i also try renault, opel, and Wv"s 1.4 liter turbo engines, and the best was the Tsi, second the Astra and the last was Tce.

Tsi and Astra 1.4 T have enough power from 1500 epm, Tce got a lil "turbowhole".

And Astra, and the WV is produce stronger turbo engines. 2.0 Tce is goid, but fuel economy is shit! (i tested in laguna)

  • @killer576

NOT TRUE! seriously !!EVERY!! test i have read where the renault 1.4 tce engine was compared to volkswagens 1.4 tsi.. the renault won! by far! reacts a lot more responsive to the throttle and feels very agressive! you get the feeling that there is always enough power for all situations in traffic. not so in the tsi. its not bad at all but it does really feel like a small engine... in fact it is. but the renault is too. just that you dont feel it. its like a 2 litre engine!

  • @KingOfQueensFreak88

Sorry pall but what you say is not right! Tsi is much stronger in the low RPM level! Got 200 nm on 1500, Tce got 190 on 2200!!!!

So Tsi have better fuel economy, maybe Tce got more power over 5000 RPM (i feel this when am on test drive) but not to much, and BY FAR....

Maybe you fell more powerful the Tce bcause it has shorter geras than Tsi, or Astra turbo, but when you change down for an overtake you dont feel any difference expect you have lower fuel outcome with a Tsi

  • @killer576 TSI has 200 NM at 1500 rpm on paper. On Dyno it doest. You have to know one thing. All new Renaults engines show power and torque values much greater than on paper when you put them on dyno. Wih VW's its the other way around. For example, megane rs says it has 250hp, but measured on dyno it shows almost 280hp. 1.4 tce is a much nicer engine to drive than 1.4 tsi. Its smoother, sounds nicer, it goes better and pulls better from lower revs, especially on higher speeds.

  • @derbigpr500

Yeah just like Tsi engines, what show 133 HP on dyno, so what u say is true for both, so u say nothing, its totally pointless.

I drive both car, in my view Tsi much better, the details say also that, the test (autobild ect.) say this too.

  • @killer576 Of course the autobild says TSI is better. German newspapers would never say that french car is better.

  • i have a megane 1.4 tce i can drive with 50kmh in the 6.gear.perfect engine. 9.4sec.0-100

  • Thanks! I think that all the gears are well staggered, even the 6th gear.

  • Excellent car, good short stroke engine. 2nd is a bit long but works pretty well
