She was being taught by her dramatic coach at the time to pronounce words carefully and she over did it. Although in every other respect she is quite natural here, and clearly the camera loves her.
@Hunterunc Hmm, true. her enunciation of words is a little too much but I like how her voice is a little deeper here. And has anyone else captured the world's imagination like her? She was wonderful. Very attractive.

It's ironic because I think Marilyn followed this judgement in real life, yet like Iris's co-worker insinuated, it didn't work.
