2. The American built M2 Bradly IFV has more weaponry and protection than a BTR does. 3. The B-2 was designed to penetrate hostile air defenses without being seen, strike quickly and decisively and then fade out. 4. The Tu-160 was a canceled project and there are only 16 in service. 5. US Marines have more training then Russian marines, including specialized training. 6. Grammar and knowledge are things you lack.

The US didn't train or sponsor Mujahideen's forces, only lent them supplies, because at the time both the US and Russia were trying to avoid war even though they were at each others throats. 3. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russian Naval Infantry has had hard times getting funding, so they have to make budget cuts and reduce the size of it. 4. Russia didn't win in Afghanistan, they fought for 10 years and then retreated.

@Roland9x u.s still relies on its bomber force from the 60's to deliver nuclear bombs. Oh and M1 Arbram was developed in the 80's. Russia is still working on new weapons. Finally U.S does not even send american made rockets into space. We just hitch a ride on Russian rockets.

Even the British have spies on the US, and they are our closest ally. Besides, I keep track of the White House. No outstanding issues with Russia so far. Like I said, capturing spies is not an act of war.

@Blackwatch555 i wouldnt be so sure if i were you.whos wins a war is not determined by who has the greatest military for it is never used to its full extent(using all your military in a war makes your economy collapse and your country vulnerable).a victory is determined by tactics,experience and will.a good example is thw war at iraq where us had a far greater force than its enemies but still withdrawed in the end for it was too expensive to continue and the results of the conflict were not good

They developed and have knowledge of the nation's military weapons that have not been deployed to the battlefield yet. To a lot of people: Dont dwell on MW2. I believe that the U.S has had the strongest military and always will. I mean, we saved the Russians from utter destruction from the Axis :). And they helped us in the pacific. :)

@Blackwatch555 also keep in mind that russia was nothing till 2000.then in only 8 years it returned to its place in the world as a superpower and its economy was improved into 12 times the one they had before.that means that the countrys growth rate is one of the greatest in the world(second to china).Also you mentioned your parents have a military background,but you should understand that US always underestimates the military potential of other counteries.

Our mission in Iraq is accomplisehd, we have stopped most terrorism and the Iraqi Army should now be able to finish the job, though we still have a few thousand National Guard troops there.

As far as natural gas goes, the market is contained to the north american continent due to transportation issues with the commodity. Not to mention the fact that 85% of natural gas use in the US is domestic and Canada easily makes up for the other 15%, and does so cheap.

It's a fallacy, Libya has helped increase the U.S. debt level even more. Cost of fuel, material for weapons, the electricity to run the factories, the wages for the workers... all of it has a zero investment return. A $160,000 cruise missile has no worth after it blows up, so the government lost $160K. There is no real profit from war.

@karazel4ever Yes, the United States spends billions of dollars on the military. But we do not profit from war. If you look around, millions of Americans hate the wars. I do myself. War is a waste of money, but mainly lives. On both sides. The toll of human lives lost during the Second World War was a staggering 73,000,000+ for both sides, Allies and the Axis. I am completely disenchanted with war. We aren't doing the right thing in Libya.
