  • What is the app you used to change your unlock screen setting to get the tap to touch unlock? Or how did you get it?

  • Great really want to see a vid like this and what u use thx thumbs up!

  • @chicksfollowme Thank you!

  • hey it got all the way to make it rain but it says a problem accourd or something like that

  • @MajorLeagueSnipping Maybe your software for your ipod/iphone is different from the requirement. Try an updated version of jailbreaking.

  • u can go setting and press "General" and then go to the very bottom and press "Reset" and press "Erase all content and Settings" then ur Jailbroken is gone so u can still have ur warranty

  • @jiveydizzle100 Apparently Apple finds out.

  • @EverythingISTech Use windows to format it and flood it w/ flooding software. (IE: Fileshredder)

  • What more does jailbreaking get you

  • @AllyW53 Several things:Customization, more apps. I mean there is an app in Cydia that allows you to WIRELESSLY sync your iPod/iPhone/iPad without connected cables (as well as backs up your device) (although it costs $9.99). I mean theres a HUGE amount of other things it has to offer.

  • EXCUSE ME BUT WOULD YOU MIND TELLING ME WHAT KIND OF COMPUTER YOU HAVE BECAUSE I HAVE IBM NOTEBOOK AND I DID THE BLACKRAIN THING AND IT SAYS THAT MY IPOD IS JAIL BROKEN BUT NOTHING CHANGES. FO I HAVE TO KEEP AT IT OR SOMETHING OR DO I HAVE TO DO IT ON A DIFFERENT COMPUTER?

  • @SAMOANBULLET Your firmware might be later than the one Black Rain supports. Try Spirit.

  • Spirit is easier and safer

  • @mrbeeniex Well I made this video when Spirit was not released. I honestly can't find the difference; all you need to do for both is plug in the USB to your ipod and press a button lol (although I did jailbreak my ipod touch with spirit because of the firmware)

  • you can unjailbreak when you need to send it in you go to itunes then upgrade it. thus unjailbreaking it.

  • @MOBTHEHITMAN or you can restore it.

  • its Black Ra1n

  • @nofameatall Oh thanks!

  • Thanks for the run-through!

I am planning on jailbreaking my iPod tonight or tomorrow night, and I was wondering if any of the information currently stored on my iPod will be lost during the jailbreaking process? Also, which program is better for the iPod - Blackra1n or Redsn0w?

  • well... you DO NOT lose any data, it hasn't been soo, by any1 yet. I'd personally recommend backing up your media, JUST IN CASE. Honestly, I haven't used RedSn0w, so I wouldn't know how it is. If you do jailbreak your ipod touch VIA BlackRa1n, I could always help you out if anything does go wrong.

  • um sure no problem

  • with the 'black rain' hack, does it still work off itunes, or do you have to get your music off something else?

    (first rate lol)

(ps, most useful channel ive found, thanks for the info on the 360)

  • Your welcome about the help on the 360. Black rain requires itunes, and you usually don't lose any data, but I would recommend backing up your media

  • i know nothing about computers so..... whats backing up media?

  • bkacing up is where you can store your media, documents, files on something that can be recovered from your computer, or on an external device, such as a flash drive or an external harddrive.

  • so all i'd need to do would be to save all my itunes stuff onto a memory stick?

  • yeah... jsut in case. You really wouldn't even lose anything, but i would perosnally reccommend it

  • kk

ok, i have a slight problem, i have my desktop with all my music on, and my laptop with next to no music on it (all my music is on itunes) is there a way to put the music from my desktop onto my laptop with out having to re purchase it or transfer it track by track? and if my music is copied onto my laptop, could i use it as the back-up?

  • Okay, there is an easy solution, something I actually did in the past, and i will tell you. First of all, yes, you can use the music on your laptop as backup, just make sure you aren't jailbreaking it on both computers. Basically for my method, take FLASH DRIVE, AND look for the itunes folder (usually in my music) and then copy the itunes folder, and then go to your laptop, and go to itunes, and click (FILE) and then (ADD FOLDER TO LIBRARY) and select the folder.

  • when you do do (ADD FOLDER TO LIBRARY) make sure to copy your itunes folder on your laptop as well, and then concolidate your itunes by go to (FILE) then (library) and then (ORGANIZE) and then (CONSOLIDATE), so that it could copy the files, without you manually transferring.

  • even if i have more music than memory? i have around 5GB of music (not much as both PC's are relatively new and i never really used computers for music in the past) but only a 2GB memory stick?

  • then transfer by time by time. maybe take almost half, then do the same thing i told you by opening, but just open that folder, and before you ejot your memory stick, just consolidate your library.

  • thanks man, just completed the break on my ipod and it works great

  • Your welcome. Glad I could help.
