  • It's simple. Long distance travel requires technological development. The Bab, who forbade the study of science, and Baha-U who called the automobile a hellish engine (softened by Baha'is to "infernal") -- were against all unnaturalness and technological development. I feel the same way, myself. I might have stayed a Baha'i had the religion kept any sort of connection to its founding scriptures. Did you know no phrase like "equality of men and women" appears in the 3 prime Baha'i scriptures?

  • @papijoon As far as being anti-technology, that goes directly against Baha'u'llah's direction that mankind is to forge ahead an ever-advancing civilization.

  • "This is the Day in which mankind can behold the face, and hear the Voice, of the Promised One. The call of God hath been raised, and the light of His countenance hath been lifted up upon men." Baha'u'llah "My sheep know My Voice" Jesus "Verily, the Father hath come..."

  • @BookOfFlaws .....and that the coffin should be of crystal, stone or hard fine wood. A specific Prayer for the Dead

is ordained, to be said before interment. and as you surely know Baha'u'llah the Father has come to bring transformation to the individual and to society and to bring a new advanced civilization peoples are working towards the preservation of our environment and it is our duty aif we love our fellowmen

  • @BookOfFlaws made it simple -n brief, the Bahá'í law for the burial of the dead states that it is forbidden to carry the body for more than one hour's journey from the place of death; that the body should be wrapped in a shroud of silk or cotton, and on its finger should be placed a ring bearing the inscription "I came forth from God, and return unto Him, detached from all save Him, holding fast to His Name, the Merciful, the Compassionate";

  • @papijoon -- The real reason for the rule about more than one hour's travel was because both the Bab and Baha'u'llah were anti-technology (as am I). To be able to take a body more than 1 hour's journey would only be practicable in a society that had high-speed travel and other technology (such as refrigeration) and both were against that kind of thing. Baha'is don't even know this. The Bab forbade foreign travel at all for his followers. Very cool teachings, imo. To bad what the religion became.

  • @BookOfFlaws As far as being anti-technology, that goes directly against Baha'u'llah's direction that mankind is to forge ahead an ever-advancing civilization.

  • @papijoon -- Neither Baha'u'llah nor the Bab, if they ever used the phrase "ever-advancing civilization, intended that to mean a continual expansion of technology. Invention and technology, which barely even existed in their milieu, would not have been considered by them to be synonymous with "civilization." It is interesting that Baha'u'llah often uses the term "invention" in negative terms in the Book of Laws. He disparages (people) of "Invention."

  • @papijoon -- I would further note that technology, in practice, is found to be destructive to civilization. The ancient societies with the least technology often had incredibly elaborate cultures. Just as we see no longer does anyone keep private conversations by phone due to the cell phone, technology is seen regularly destroying all aspects of civilization. Maybe the Bab and Baha-U noticed that too, thus were anti-technology, and taught that science should be subject to religious values.

  • @BookOfFlaws @BookOfFlaws, What you say about the requirements of refrigeration has some merit on the surface, however you must remember that, even in Persia alone, the winters become bitterly cold -- so why the restriction then? I don't believe the reason is anywhere stated for burial to be no more than one hour's travel distance -- my own interpretation leans more toward the concept of separation of the soul from the body.

  • It's great that Baha-oo-luh gave us laws to last a thousand years. I especially like his instructions about how to hunt with a falcon, and that we should wear sable, silk, and squirrel fur. He really covered things. The New World Order could turn out as fun as a David Bowie concert!

But couldn't he have said something on abortion? Or porn? Genetic engineering? Technology? Something clear on homosexuality? Forms of government? Adoptions? Or maybe a rule against race-mixing. It's ugly.

  • When Jesus appeared He did, in fact, change the universe forever; the Baha'i Faith confirms this. Jesus said He would return, and with a new name. None of the Manifestations of God have been accepted, except by a very few, at the time of their appearance. If I may be so bold, whether you think humanity needs a new Prophet is really quite irrelevant, especially when Jesus said He would return. I will not try to tell God when or who to send. Jesus said you will know them by their fruits.

  • Visions of grandeur, you say?The man was a noblemank who gave up entirely His wealth and life of comfort to bring the Message to humanity. He suffered over 40 yrs as prisoner, banished from his homeland,as a result of that Message.Succumbed to religious fundamentalism, you say?How do you come to that when the teachings are so embracing,so accepting,of all peoples? And where, pls, have Abdu'l-Baha and/or Shoghi Effendi said His prophesies have not panned out? pls specify-as I believe you are incorrect

  • Part 2,

He was deluded with visions of grandure and his prophetic utterences have never panned out according to his accepted interpreters(son and great grandson). Does the world need another 19th century reformer or reiligion that claims infallibility and which has succomed to nothing but pure unadulterated religious fundamentalism? I dont think so! A fundamentalist rose is a fundamentalist rose is a fundamentalist rose.

  • He was a great visioneer of the 19th century for his time, place and culture. His efforts to bring modernity to a barbaric and brutal religion called Islam are to be commended. Is he a prophet for our ages? Not on your life! As Christians we believe in the priesthood and prophethood of all believers. The incarnation of Jesus has changed the Universe forever and humanity no longer needs an individual claiming infallibility and proclaiming to be the only voice speaking for God.

  • @IslamicFollies please state the evidence as to why?

  • Totalitarian.

  • One country? Boring. Totalitarian.

    One nation? Boring. Totalitarian.

Let's keep many peoples, many nations, and keep the world interesting.

  • What's all this about "glory." The surly little imp sure doesn't look very glorious in his photograph.

  • O PEOPLES of the earth! Verily the resplendent Light of God hath appeared in your midst, invested with this unerring Book, that ye may be guided aright to the ways of peace and, by the leave of God, step out of the darkness into the light and onto this far-extended Path of Truth... Bahá’u’lláh

  • What a victory it is for humanity to have our Messiah with us again manifested as the Glorious Baha'u'llah :) :) :)

  • Most surely the attainment of this divine state is not the result of fancy's flights, of pious dreaming, or of allowing the imagination to run away with one's self. There is nothing more positive, real, and practical than the consciousness of being a man, and to find one's centre of gravity in the dignity which arises from true manhood; or in other words, from the knowledge of being a living temple wherein resides the power of one's own immortal self.

    F.H.

  • @sagun111 who said that, it is interesting

  • Franz Hartmann sir!

  • Ya Baha'u'llah / يا بهاء الله

  • yes KNEEL TO SCIENCE! OWNED!

  • KNEEL BEFORE SCIENCE!

  • "Science cannot abolish faith in the all-seeing God, without worshipping in His place the blind intellect." J.B.

  • All seeing?. youve seen god have you? LOAD up a PHOTO of you and him shaking hands ON YOUR PROFILE! I want to see aswell. Without science you wouldnt be using your computer, without science theyd be no hospitals! without science youd be still in a cave.

  • Why don't you post a photo of the wind, or of love? You sound like the drs who laughed at Semmelweis's crazy claims about "invisible germs" causing illness... micro-organisms weren't observable either, before the microscope & van Leeuwenhoek etc. Things change. Technologies are developed. Most scientists are smart enough to be both more humble & more open-minded to the possibilities of the universe than you are. Your childish extremism speaks volumes, and it says "dilettante" & "troll".

  • BEAUTIFUL.

  • God is the most great of the Most Great. All the manifestations of God have come from Him. The voice of God has been heard threw many different voices at different times. The claim Baha'u'llah made is simply that he is the voice of this age. Baha'i's embrace all religion as one, not one above the other. Baha'u'llah taught from the Bible, from the Koran, from his own teachings. Baha'i's accept Jesus as Gods son. To be a Baha'i is to love all Mankind.

  • correction on typo

All the interpretations made of the Bible in these comments by the Baha'is are from Baha'u'llah's holy writings. We do not interpret the books ourselves. this is why Christianity is now divided into 30,000 or more denominations. Everyone takes it upon themselves to interpret the word of God. God tells us that the books are not for any private interpretations! Yet we have many priest and imams and rebi's interpreting and confusing people and causing divisions!

  • All the interpretions that the Baha'is give in these commnets are not from us they are from Baha'u'llah. We do not interpret the books onley the divenely guided can interpret the verses on the holy writings!

  • richbee2be think of what you are saying! GOD IN FLESH. HOW CAN A CREATOR BE CREATED! GOD has no need for mother, father, brother. HE IS GOD! THE SUPREME BEING, THE MAGNIFICENT, THE SELF -SUBSISTENT! THE ALL KNOWING, THE ALL WISE! GOD THE CREATOR SAYS BE AND IT IS!REFLECT ON THESE NAMES THAT GOD MAY GUIDE YOU!

  • the baby was alive and the parents died because two religions cannot see that we are all from the same source and one is not better than the other. We must not fight with each other religions is the cause of good not hate! Wake up! Stop teaching hate! JEsus is not GOD (Peace be upon HIM) he never wanted to be GOD. HE is a PRophet of GOD who led many people to peace and unity and you are trying to interpret the bible for yourself! Don't you see you are causing war!

  • papijoon the patience and diligence of your responses is remarkable.

  • My friends, I sense a lot of anger in those who are watching who do not understand. If you were not interested you would not watch. That being said you have taken a step toward understanding. Bahaullah is the return of the spirit of God, the promised one of all religions. Bahaullah is the return of Christ in spirit as he is the embodiement of all of the great teachers of the past. Bahaullah does not diminished the Glory of Christ he infact shows the beauty of Christ. invesitage clearly.

  • don't you guys get this this is the vision of babalon and the tower ; of babel that the lord of host set man apart in order theart lucifer in his goalds t present himself as god through the tower of babel to the loard of hosts and condeming man to his own fate with lucifer without redemtion !!

  • That message was for papijoon.

1 Timothy 3:16 says 'He [Jesus] appeared in a body', to indicate that this is 'the mystery of godliness' - that God could take human nature and thus a body alongside His divine nature and essence.

The deity of the Word in John 1:1 has been established, and see John 1:14 says the 'Word became flesh' - therefore He was not flesh before hand.

  • copacetic5 May God help you see!

JESUS SAID I go away and come again unto you. I go and another will come, whom will tell you all that I have not told you, and will fulfil all that I have said.

All the Prophets of GOD that come after one another fulfil what the other had said, because in essence they are ONE not PHYSICALLY BUT IN SPIRIT GOD IS A SPIRIT WE MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRITsee bible cor chpt 1, 2,3 also st john chpt 4 verse 24 or cht 6 verse 63.,chpt16, verse 12,13,14.

  • Copacetic5 we must stop all these fighting between religions don't you see hate brings more hate. In the news today a baby survived because his parents were killed because of reli.hate, and now he is alone. This must stop.Baha'u'llah came for that reason!

  • Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, is the Glory of God! 2 Peter 1:17

For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

Romans 16:27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen

  • meaculpar9r why are you interpretin the bible. It states in the bible that the bible is not of any private interpretation! look it up! This is why we have more than 30,000 denominations of Christianity! Which one is right?

  • There is only one Jewish Messiah. It helps to know the term: "one and only Son" as in Jn 3:16 Jn 1:18; Heb 11:17). Monogenēs is clearly a relational term when Jesus is called the "only begotten," as in, say, John 1:18. Here He is called "unique God" who explains or reveals God the Father (cf. John 14:6-11 ; also Isaiah 6:1 ff. with John 12:40-41) And by knowing the Jesus of scriptures you can look to the one returning.

  • YES, and Baha'u'llah is the RETURN of the Only Begotten Son.

To be a little more specific, the Only Begotten Son is 'pre-existent'. "Before Abraham was, I am."(John 8:58). This should not be taken literally, as Adam was also "son of God." (Luke 3:38)

And the Only Begotten Son is a Spirit; "God is a Spirit," (John 4:24) and "...that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." (John 3:6)

  • Why have you posted such an obviously false claim?

  • I see here, that indeed, some are blind and others are deaf.

Why be blind AND deaf to the message of Jesus Christ?

John 12:40-41 "He has blinded their eyes

    and deadened their hearts,

so they can neither see with their eyes,

    nor understand with their hearts,

nor turn—and I would heal them."

Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus' glory and spoke about him.

  • We believe that Christ return in the glory of the Father

  • Many do not who came the first time or who to look for on the return.

The word translated "begotten" (e.g., KJV; NASB) comes from the Greek word monogenēs: monos, meaning, "alone" or "only" and genos, meaning, "kind" or "type." - "only kind," "unique one," or "one and only." (This verse alone demolishes false pretenders like Bahauallah)

  • The word 'begotten' means to be fathered-by. A father can 'beget' a hundred children, if he so chooses. There is no limit to how many children a father can procreate.

What verse is it you are inferring 'demolishes false pretenders', please?

Let's look at what the Holy Bible says about false pretenders...

Matthew 7:18, a corrupt tree cannot bring forth good fruit. This is explained in

  • greater detail in Galatians, 5:20 and forward.

2 Peter 2:1, will bring heresies into Christianity and will deny the Lord.

2 Peter 2:1, will arise among the Christians.

2 Peter 2:3, will show greed and licentiousness.

Clearly, these do not apply to Baha'u'llah. But how well does this fit much of the present day clergy? See also Galations 1:6-9.

  • @papijoon Right on.

  • @meaculpa9r Also according to many scholars that study the hebrew literature around the time of Jesus stated that the word 'Begotten" was a mistake and so many of them have taken "Begotten" out of the bible

  • >..a return is indeed referred to in the Holy Scriptures, but by this is meant the return of the qualities, conditions, effects, perfections, and inner realities of the lights which recur in every dispensation. The reference is not to specific, individual souls and identities.('Abdu'l-Baha, swa 183:5)

  • MOSES SPOKE OF JESUS AS JESUS SPOKE OF MUHAMAD AND BAHA'U'LLAH

"Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. (1co 12:3) [no one can be a Baha'i without believing that Jesus is Lord] (tef 24:10)

  • The obstacle which prevents the so-called religious man from accepting the teachings of God is literal interpretation.. (dp 35:1)

    >Paul warns that Christians WILL come to believe in myths: "For the time WILL come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." (2ti 4:3-4 NIV) (fph 4:3)

  • "By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come"Watch at all times, praying that you may.. Stand before the Son of Man" - Baha'u'llah - see luke 21:36 (misc 26:5) in the flesh is of God" (1jo 4:2)4. "Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord" shall enter the kingdom, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven" (mat 7:21)

  • Know thou that when the Son of Man yielded up His breath to God, the whole creation wept with a great weeping. By sacrificing Himself, however, a fresh capacity was infused into all created things." (gwb 85) ..the Sonship and Divinity of Jesus Christ are fearlessly asserted.." (pdc 109)

  • >YES; and Jesus also said "Howbeit, when HE the SPIRIT OF TRUTH is come, HE will guide you unto all truth" (joh 16:13) Baha'u'llah is the Return of the One Mediator. (tef 12:2)

    >2. "And I will write on him My new name.." (rev 3:12) [at His Return, Christ will have a new name] (tef 12:3)3. "Howbeit, when He the Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth." (joh 16:12-13) [the Spirit of Truth is Christ

  • ES, meaning the WORD, or the 'eternal' Christ (or Anointed One) which is the same for all eternity. (misc 29:1)

    >Therefore Baha'u'llah & Jesus are both Christ and the WORD, and that will never change; but the WORD will appear on Earth again with another human name: Jesus said "I still have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit, when He the SPIRIT OF TRUTH is come, he will guide you unto all truth (joh 16:12)

  • >Elijah was expected to be sent from heaven, and Christ said Elijah is none other than John the Baptist (Mt 11:14). abd 40

    >The Bab was the return of John the Baptist expected by the Christians and the return of Elijah anticipated by the Jews. gpb 58

    >Advent of Baha'u'llah called the Day of God. gpb 95

    >In the Bible the Jews have the promise of the Lord of Hosts and the Messiah; in the Gospel the return of Christ and Elijah is promised. saq 46

  • Two thousand years ago people began to excitedly announce: "We have found the Messiah!- the very person Moses and the prophets told us about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth!" "Nazareth"?! came a skeptical reply, "Can anything good come from there?"

"Just come and see for yourself..." -John 1:45 (Living Bible-Catholic Edition

  • Richbee2be i will never saying bad things about any religion ,, do u think the 2nd world fast growing religion would be possible if it was not God religion , BAHA'U'LLAH ALONE A PRISONER AN EXILE BANISHED TO THE HOLY LAND STAND 2 GREAT KING WITH HIS MILLIONS SUBJECTS , NOW if u are a true man of religion can u deny that His power is not of God , His teaching alone is changing the hearts of people around the planet, BE TRUE BE RESPECTFUL FRIEND

    LOVE PAPIJOON

  • Do your own due diligence; investigate independent of others -- you will know them by their fruits: Matthew 7:16 -- Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. ~ Gospel of Matthew The Holy Bible, King James Version

  • "When the prophets of God appear upon this earth, their validity is established by means of certain proofs. One of the proofs is through the fulfillment of former prophecies, the second proofs are their creative words and phrases which salute the hearts of humanity, the third are their deeds and the fourth are their teachings."

  • Interpretation of the Holy books is a purely subjective matter; that is the reason there are so many different sects of each of the Religions of God, highly trained and devout believers interpret differently. It is my opinion that time is far better spent investigating the new Revealer, as Jesus commands His followers to do:

  • 21:23 -- And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof. ~ Book of Revelation The Holy Bible, King James Version

  • I'm pretty sure when we were warned from false prophets they were speaking about the pope :P

  • O Baha'u'llah, thou art the King of Kings, the Fountain of infinite Wisdom, an incomparable leader of men and legislator of future world order. O Baha'u'llah, no power can withstand Thy authority, given to Thee by God, the Almighty, the All-Glorious. Thou hast suffered what none has suffered before. Thou art the Promised One of all Ages, Traditions and Religions.Thou hast ignited the day of glory and unification.Thy exalted Cause can by no means be stopped from spreading.Thy undeserving servant.

  • blueblue1891

    how pathetic are you?

  • You have to first have a knowledge of something before you can deny it. These people posting fowl things obviously have no knowledge of Baha'u'llah or His great teachings. All things here were promised by Christ.

  • xxBadixx

I am deeply moved by this presentation about

    the Manifestation of God (Bahá'u'lláh).

Bahá'u'lláh is the promised One of all ages

and religions. This is the truth.

  • Wow the devil must be slacking off if he's coming up with crap like the bahai.

I thought the devil had higher standards than this but apparently not.

  • Bahaullah was a false prophet who was predicted by Jesus Christ, the only way to God ,in the Holy Bible

Jesus said there would be many who would say they were the Messiah. Don't believe it.

  • How u can except Jesus Christ if u do not except Bahaullah, why are U driving a car, Why u fly from one Place to the other, why do we use internet. All this is the sign that the most Great Person Has come to this World. So you can be a part of His Garment of Glory and rejous for the rest of your life.
