what's with the messed up music?

It's interesting how the storyline or storytelling sequence of this game looks almost exactly the same, and from my recollection even has the same music as the old Ninja Gaiden NES game. I don't remember, but I'm guessing Akklaim made that too. There obviously wasn't a lot of of creativity or distinction separating games back then. But then, technology has advanced a great deal since then too.
