I had my 84 year old kindergraten teacher choke me unconsious for telling a little known black history fact. We sued the school district and she got fired.
I think she hated you because she was in a relationship with your dad but he never moved to live with her or never recognized her because of the love he feels for you.About the second story,at least you can play the race card,,but i suffered viceversa.It's very hard when a black racist teacher just pick on you for not being black.
its funny how they want to ban ethnic studies out on the west coast and yet complain about how hard it is to teach across ethnic lines , and how difficult and challenging it is to teach children of other races. and complain how disruptive our kids are. then why are they banning ethnic studies? we should do our thing and they should do there's.
My brother was in Junior High and had a math teacher who was always failing him and picking him and calling our Mom into the class complaining about his behavior, and he was sure it was because he was one of 3 white kids in the class, and she was a racist black person. We didn't believe him until we found out that she did the same thing to the other two white kids, and to NONE of the black kids. Racism is a human issue, not a black and white one.

She had been a school teacher in Phoenix for 14 years prior to job changes. She told me the reason she left teaching was the pressure on them to curve the grades. This is a good example of what some whites will do to deliberately destroy interest in learning in black and other minority students. I know another white male teacher who would not help my daughter with her math questions. I had to talk to the princepal to resolve that issue.
You even said it multiple times in your video "I don't know if she was racist..." So I think you should consider changing the title of this video because it isn't right. Yes what happened seemed to be bizarre, but you really have NO PROOF that these things were done intentionally to only you, let alone because of race.

@thethugyone, Regardless of the race of the teacher, what the teacher did was wrong. And although GemRubyDiamond isn't sure if the actions of the teacher were racist in nature, it is still one possibility. And while there are teachers who may not like an individual student, because of behavioral and personality issues and other reasons, that doesn't give the teacher the right to perform actions, such as changing a child's homework answers and then giving that child a lower grade.
Teachers have to be very careful how they act around and treat their students. Back when I was going to school, teachers may have been able to get away with a lot more, but in this day and age, they will get into trouble if students take a stand and decide to complain. I also had a teacher who was sort of like the one that GemRubyDiamond described. She was a mean witch, and she did treat minority students differently than the white students. Even my parents could sense how evil she was.
your problem was that you bucked the system i.e. the racist system in which we are all placed, categorised or whatever. You rendered that mode of categorisation redundant by virtue of your talents and those teachers simply couldn't handle it!

I had a racist teacher in trade school that would compliment everybody in my class and talk about how nice smart and how wonderful we are but another teacher caught him calling us Monkies. And he would purposely teach us the wrong things so we could fail the class.On top of that he did`nt even show up alot of times and never got punished for it even when we complained.But when one of my classmates had a problem with one of my black teachers the Dean told the class if we want him fired SMH.
What horrible bitch teachers! You and god knows how many other children put up with their petty spite. It's depressing to realise many other teachers are doing the same thing and don't get found out.

I can relate to this. When I was in primary school, I was persecuted by a particular teacher for TWO YEARS. She made my life hell; she would constantly give me bad marks and would blame EVERY bad thing that happened on me. Everything. I was never bullied at school by other kids, but I certainly had my fair share of teacher bullies who saw me as "uppity" and felt they had to "put me in my place". Like you, I wondered how an adult could treat a child with such malice and contempt.
Yes I have at UAB in Birmingham.. There was this "Professor named Charolette Lantz, I took her for a dance class and she gave me a C because she did not like me.. She would cut me off and completley ignore me if I had a question.. Also there was another professor that went on a N***R rant.. This dude must have said N***R over 2o times I went off on him (Without cursing) and he ended up "Apologizing" to the entire class. The sad part noone else that was Black in the class said anything. =(

My brother was in Junior High and had a math teacher who was always failing him and picking him and calling our Mom into the class complaining about his behavior, and he was sure it was because he was one of 3 white kids in the class, and she was a racist black person. And although GemRubyDiamond isn't sure if the actions of the teacher were racist in nature, it is still one possibility. And while there are teachers who may not like an individual student, because of behavioral and personality issues and other reasons, that doesn't give the teacher the right to perform actions, such as changing a child's homework answers and then giving that child a lower grade.

Teachers have to be very careful how they act around and treat their students. Back when I was going to school, teachers may have been able to get away with a lot more, but in this day and age, they will get into trouble if students take a stand and decide to complain. I also had a teacher who was sort of like the one that GemRubyDiamond described. She was a mean witch, and she did treat minority students differently than the white students. Even my parents could sense how evil she was.

I had a racist teacher in trade school that would compliment everybody in my class and talk about how nice smart and how wonderful we are but another teacher caught him calling us Monkies. And he would purposely teach us the wrong things so we could fail the class.On top of that he did`nt even show up alot of times and never got punished for it even when we complained.But when one of my classmates had a problem with one of my black teachers the Dean told the class if we want him fired SMH.

I had one teacher who made me the butt of the class. He just hated my guts and I don't know why. He was pretty immature and wanted all the hip kids to like him. I also had another teacher who was way touchy... just emotionally insecure who took everything personally.

I can relate to this. When I was in primary school, I was persecuted by a particular teacher for TWO YEARS. She made my life hell; she would constantly give me bad marks and would blame EVERY bad thing that happened on me. Everything. I was never bullied at school by other kids, but I certainly had my fair share of teacher bullies who saw me as "uppity" and felt they had to "put me in my place". Like you, I wondered how an adult could treat a child with such malice and contempt.

Yes I have at UAB in Birmingham.. There was this "Professor named Charolette Lantz, I took her for a dance class and she gave me a C because she did not like me.. She would cut me off and completley ignore me if I had a question.. Also there was another professor that went on a N***R rant.. This dude must have said N***R over 2o times I went off on him (Without cursing) and he ended up "Apologizing" to the entire class. The sad part noone else that was Black in the class said anything. =(
