thats brilliant to watch as i am just 19 its a great insight into how times have changed. Myself and my dad own 2 Dark green 1965 Hillman Superminxes in fine running order and i believe this period was the time the British car industry excelled.
The Hillman Super Minx, my parents had one in dark green with a white roof, seem to remember my dad would never use the key starter but always use the starting handle, this was in 1985!!! Think rust killed it in the end.
Amazing to see John Bolster Motoring Correspondant of the 1950's and 60's in his flying cap, glasses and Mostache just after the Lotus Elan Clip...he was also a famous racing driver of the 1930's and 40's he did many promotions to sell the Austin Healey 100/6 and the Frogeye Sprite at the launch PBL 75 back in early 1958..
Most modern euro boxes are very boring these days i fined, they seem to me to all look and perform about the same, I drive a lot of different makes and models in conection with my work. These Classics are very different and full of character.
I love the snide, sexist remarks! Excellent - very fitting for the time period I guess. The hope that these cars represented turned out to be far less than what they could deliver. Too bad.
:D sexist remarks FTW!
:D Hillman superminx FTW!

Great days! The cheery, tuneful music would be beneficial as treatment - quite impossible to be depressed with it playing.
