I'm a stylist and if my clients asked me questions about what i was going to do to their hair and i kept saying, "well, from my training..." or "from my understanding..." I would expect that they would think I didn't truly know what I was doing. She seemed like she literally just finished learning how to do this. Her answers may have been accurate but she didn't sound confident. A client will become very hesitant if YOU dont seem confident in what you're doing.

People, it is NOT keratin. It uses no formaldehyde.

yeahh i have heard bkt can cause cancer cause of formaldehyde. a great alternative, though, is a temporary straightener. its a gel.. (obviously has no formaldehyde) and it lightly relaxes the curl and eases frizz until your next wash out. it works realllly well!

@babeeshopiez123 It lasts 10-12 weeks. I (personally) would NOT recommend this treatment to anyone because it's just wayyyy too damaging. It contains too much formaldehyde (12%) and is certainly not FDA approved. I've also seen a story of a woman in my city who lost half of her hair 4 months after this treatment. Just flat iron ur hair if u want it straight.

It worked on biracial hair, i wonder if it works on 100% afro-textured kinky hair with little curl definition and lots of frizz? Good questions all around! I would ask too because I love my hair and its not worth messing up for a one time fling...

@theandyandsamyshow I had to change my appointment, so I haven't had it done yet, but I'm going in two days (Thursday) to have it done. I'm a little nervous, as my son's wedding is in four weeks. I'm pretty confident that I'll be pleased, though. Glad yours came out the way you wanted it to. I'm impressed that you did it yourself.

just make sure you tell your stylist what your looking for, my understanding is the final result is NOT dependant on the final blowout, because i didnt blow mine out at all at the end and it was super straight, what determines it is the amount of passes with the flat iron and the tension used, so make sure you tell your stylist what your looking for :]

Please I have a question? I'm about to try keratin, but my concern is about my grays .. I have like 80% gray hair!

and I color my roots regularly , like every 3 2 weeks, because my gray is inherited and started to show up since i was 14, I'm now 28

so my question is ,, is it OK to have keratin on my hair? or it doesn't work well with gray hair.. and if i'd like to color my roots after the treatment.. what will happen?

@Leenao I think its great to have your hair straight but theres also dangers to it... there is formaldehyde (embalming fluid) and carcinogens which causes cancer. it only lasts up to 12 weeks.
