for those of you i am in the same lamot pils boat and i highly aggree it was the bestest advert of it's age it is a crying shame that they don't sell the lager anymore but this is

an iconic piece of tv history and great animation reminds me of the heavy metal cartoon movie i gave this advert a 20/10

I've just found this on YouTube. Very gratifying to read these comments, guys! I am the artist who created this twenty five years ago! My paintings and concept drawings were then given to Tony White and his team of animators, and while they were animating the characters I also painted the backgrounds that you see here. Made way before any digital effects existed, it was four months of work for forty seconds of film!

Thanks for your appreciative comment, rickequinox, and it's great to hear that it was such an inspiration to you in your own art! We decided right from the get-go that what we would deliberately set out to do would be to create a full fantasy movie with all the look and feel of an epic - it's just that it happened to be forty seconds long! I always wanted to take the central character further into new places and adventures, but the ad company had the rights, and this was as far as things came.
