no leopard comes pre-installed. You get the discs should you ever feel the need to re-install it.

no the new multitouch gestures do not work in boot camp....yet

Well, the multi-touch only works in Leopard because Apple has built into the applications support for those gestures. Other apps may recognise them, but they don't have support for them.

gloss = highly reflective and less accurate in color representation.

It is pretty though.

Gloss makes the colors on the screen appear darker than they really are. So if your trying to do accurate color replication for printed material or video, the colors are going to be off.

It is a core 2 duo, Penryn refers to the processor architecture / die size etc.

called up the apple store the tuesday they were released and got one there. Im lucky enough to have on 20 minutes away, and 2 more about an hour away

its better to go to the store because you dont have to worry about shipping, however if you customize you have to do it online

does it get hot like the non-penron. my pro gets burrning hot after an hour or so of use. it really bugs me. congrats on your purchase though.

Buy a laptop cooler, they only cost $20 and up. You might be able to find one cheaper. Mine helps a lot.

it works just like the iphone.

Sometimes I accidentally resize the icons on the desktop. you have to be really conscious of where your fingers are at all times. Its really sensative.

i just need to learn to keep extra fingers off the trackpad is all :D  you can disable specific gestures in the system pref folder anyway

so far so good.. few little quirks here and there. I managed to somehow erase my help files while installing bootcamp. I also have an annoying issue when my battery reads as completely charged at 99% sometimes. other than that ok.

I had installed a new sump pump in that room just behind me on the friday before i bought the mac... when i turned the mac on for the first time the sump decided to go on at the same time, so i put a little disclaimer on there that it was the sump making the noise not the macbookpro
