  • Is it in Japanese or English translation? you buy mangas in japanese or english? thanks

  • the US sucks. not only do they sell HALF of the manga that is from Japan, they sell it at a high, unnecessary, and rip-off price, and they also censor out things, mostly that fucking asshole company Viz Media. i love manga, but this isn't fair! DX

I actually been to a manga store like that in some mall called Daiei in Yokosuka last spring when I was on a school trip with my friends, but too bad my group wouldn't let me stay there for longer than 5 minutes :(

Looking at these videos makes me miss Japan even more. I seriously wanna go back to one of those again and believe me they got EVERYTHING at those stores! Once you walk in, you won't want to leave

Maybe I'll just go live in Japan someday :/

  • hey do you know a manga book named sailor moon and if so did you seen it in this store and know how much it costs

    this is ''sailor moon''

    in Japanese writing

    美少女戦士セーラームーン

  • So cool, I'd like to learn how to speak Japanese and visit one of these stores :)

  • Wait do they have English versions too there?

  • @Relesy

Most likely not since this is a store in Japan and the majority of the people don't read in English...even thou there are numerous English words in Japanese anime/manga/video games/etc.

  • IT'S...HEAVEN.........

  • they seriously need to have stores with this much manga in the United States!!!!!!!

OR they could just fill the entire Barnes & Noble with manga

    ^_^

  • *gasps* Oh My Lord! :D

  • OMG this is every manga fans dream come true to walk through a store full of manga books and goodies.

Do they sell manga books in English or are they all in Japanese?

  • @russiangirl15

Only in Japanese for business reasons. A book that's written in another language, other than your own, won't really sell well.

  • woah Oo

i've never seen so much manga before xD

  • if i went there i would die and go to heaven

  • Aaaghhh.... (drooling) Hav to goo there. I too love MANGA. And so does everyone else that is watching this. OTAKU!!! =3=

  • 02:09 - hey! its bakemonogatari! i cant believe there's a manga version of that! i want it ! i want it! (=A=)

  • Aah~, it's videos like these that make me miss japan so much! I went to many book stores like this and bought lots of manga and other books to help me study japanese. Thanks for uploading this! btw, what store was this called? Was it Book Off?

  • Lucky guy

The small bookstore in my town had an entire manga bookcase. Then the store closed, it was the only bookstore in my town. And the giant Barnes&Noble a couple towns over got rid of all its manga *sniff*. Now I rely on my town library, which, for a US library, surprisingly has a decent sized comic collection including manga, but there isn't a single completed series of any manga. Oh well

Here's a toast to the recession, may it leave swiftly and return to us our poorly translated manga!

  • this is an ordinary book store in Japan?! my gawd, this is HEAVEN (=w=)~

    this is not like our bookstore here in my place. yes, they have manga but usually, it only has one shelf or two (on some...) ;w;

    Thanks for sharing! :D

...wish our bookstores here are like that as well D': need to go to Japan!! ...but.. not until I graduate orz.

  • 面白い、サンフランシスコの紀伊國屋書店みたいね。
