But I've noted that the stat you mentioned talked of self-made as in they started their businesses on their own. But only a select few of them, actually started from the bottom class, while the rest were already in upper middle class. So, yes, hard work is key to success, but sometimes creativity as well as opportunity, are further enhanced by privileges.
