Sprinting should be like introducing a new javelin, reset the records, and let them do steroids. There's already alot of injuries and if they got to roid up, we'd see some awesome times and i thnk more head to head with the best guys. Jamaicians, what say you with steve mulling getting caught doping?
@bgee4 Mullings is a two time loser who used a masking agent to hide his steroid usage. Rodgers allegedly took a stimulant from a sports drink in Italy after passing a scheduled blood test. The first time penalty for such an offense is either a slap on the wrist or a three month suspension at most. Two totally different cases. I don't care what happens to this dude if he indeed cheated.
@beebeechitown I am waiting to see how many athletes will bail out of competing , and how many will experience a reversal of form in Daegu with the new blood testing.
@bgee4 Totally with you. I despise cheaters. So many great athletes from the past had their entire career achievements stolen from them simply because they had honor and didn't cheat. I do not believe that Carmelita Jeter is a drug cheat, but if she is I'm done with even her.
This guy just got popped for roids. So much for that. I knew he was doping, what a disgrace. The good news is that now Nesta Carter will get to run in his place the 100m in Daegu. Carter is a better sprinter anyway.
i love how both of the top comments are those rreally cool LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ones :)
@blkhauck - Not TRYING to prove anything, just comparing. Trick said Bolt started his season MUCH faster with a 9.76 compared to Gay's 9.79. Then I compared both times with wind/altitude adjustment formula that was published by a member of the Association of Track and Field Statisticians. His formula provided corrected times as if they were run at sea-level with zero wind. This shows that both runners times were basically equal given the varying environments.
@blkhauck - Thanks. Anyway you look at it, it should be a great world championship final, assuming the top sprinters all make it through to the finals. Bolt has an advantage in that he doesn't have to compete for a berth to the WC since he's the defending champ.
@blkhauck - I have to admit I was impressed with the 19.86 that he ran in Oslo in the rain. I don't know if he's in sub 19.5 shape, but I still think he wins that race in a walk. As for the 100, if his start is good, he'll be tough to beat.
The pathetic thing is that few of the Bolt pumpers who frequent these videos have the class to do what I just did and that''s give another sprinter their due. Instead all they want to do is lie about wind-gauges and claim he's roided up...
@TrickSports - Good enough, I didn't recall if anyone had started faster. But let's not start talking shit about tracks and conditions quite yet, Clermont's isn't exactly a speedway. There's not that much between 9.79 & 9.76. I know you're a Jamaican homer, but at least try to remain objective this season, so will I.
@TrickSports - Like I've said before, it has to be settled on the track. Bolt's ran a fine 200 in the rain, but no one is ready to hand over another championship to anyone just yet. 2010 is passed, but so are 2008 & 2009. But up to now, not even Bolt is at "Bolt's level. should be a great season.
I don't know, but has any sprinter EVER started the season faster than 9.79? I don't think so.
@TrickSports - Trick, really...that remark is beneath even you. Just be happy that you've got a fine stable of sprinters instead of talking shit. Mullings seems to be a really humble and talented kid. Your trials this year should be the shit! we'll see some fast times for sure.
There's too much speculation here. These guys don't care about times in June its about properly going through there training so they have there peak performance at the World Champs. Lets just congratulate them for running 10.2 into a -3.4 HEADWIND!!
some of you guys know very little about track and field except for strikemike. Tyson is simply transitioning from all of the base work he's done recently. This shows because of the way he finishes his races. it takes a little longer to develop this part of the race because of the volume training. now as world's gets closer, now he can work on the start. He has never been a great starter anyway so why not fne tune this area before the big one. come on people.
@UFC295 TrickSports is not being too harsh on Asafa. Asafa is breaking the cardinal rule for all JAmaican sprinters who came up through Champs---- Finish your race & do your best. Asafa is not doing this, he is choking. To emphasize my point take a look at Vcb 200m race at the Ja invitational meet. Although hoplessly beaten my Fraser, VCb drove hard to the line and even dip at the finish for maximum effort. That is what we want to see in all our runners
Really? Exactly when was the LAST time Bolt actually finished a RACE? Yes, he's dominant but he clowns around far too much and in my opinion he disrespects the sport with such antics. Of course the haters will slam me for that, but I'm not doubting his talent, just his behavior.
As for Asafa, he's been a head case his whole career. Great in meets of little importance, but chokes in the big ones. Too bad, because he's very talented.
@broadjumper1 When Tyson beat him in their last race Bolt actually ran through the line. He never gave up.And for his antics, its just his personality, he has always been a prankster from his youth. Also! when Bolt looses a race he immediately goes over and congratulates the winner. i have never seen Tyson congratulate Bolt when Bolt wins.
@bgee4 No he didn't, watch the race again on YouTube. Bolt ran about 90 meters and eased up through the line because he knew he was beaten. And I really don't care what he did in his youth, I'd rather he grow up and treat the sport with some respect. As for giving congratulations, first off they haven't run against each that many times and when Bolt has won, he's taken a victory lap. I don't have a problem with that but I also don't expect Gay to chase him down just to give him congratulations.
Actually Tyson's start wasn't that bad. He had the same reaction time as Mullings and stayed within a half step of him until he pulled up out of his acceleration phase. Mullings kept low a little longer and transitioned more smoothly into the wind, giving him more momentum when he pulled up. Luckily for Tyson, his max velocity and speed endurance are just as good as Bolt's over 100m which helped him out big time today.
@kingofsprints He just ran a dead heat with Blake a few days ago. Before that he was a close 3rd behind only Usain and Asafa. I think you need to wake up.
@IOwnYouClown So because he ran ok in his last few races, that supposed to put him in a league with Blake? GET THE F... OUTTA HERE! Ok dude you must be smoking METH or drinking MOONSHINE or better yet! YOU MUST BE OUT OF YOUR RAASCLAAT MIND! I know you white folks have been waiting for that one great WHITE HOPE to compete with NEGROS and our warrior blood. Look dude this is not baseball or hockey or the french soccer team. Lemaitre will be good one day, but never be the best.. Period!
@kingofsprints You sound like a racist idiot. Who cares what skin color, you're either fast or not. The truth is he's up there with Blake, but neither are on Usain's level yet.
TYSON YOU ARE NOT READY FOR USAIN BOLT ,,,,SORRY .,I WAS @ THAT SAME TRACK MEET A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO WHEN USAIN BOLT RAN IN THE RAIN AND SET A WORLD RECORD EASY......NOW ,.... BOLT HAS NOT RAN IN 10 MONTHS AND HIS FIRST RACE HE RAN 9.91.......THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!
@swagteam31 That time of 9.79 at an event that's not cerified is not valid and the fact that the timing system they used is also not valid is major reason...That race should not be allowed to count because it wasn't officiated properly including wind speed verification... The USTF did this purposely to get one up on anything that occurred in Eugene...That's a con job....his 9.79 should be nullified.
@NALDOKID101 Good comment! America is trying to play mind games. They are falsifying times to try and get back the 100m record. They lied about the wind gauge when Flo Jo ran the world record and they are playing the same games again. But, like Bob said, " no matter what games they play we got something they can never take away"----ITS THE LIGHTNING!!!!!
@bgee4 True Right On! The USA did it with FLOJO after the wind gauge broke and 10.49 remain the record how bold. But you see back then the USA had the IAAF in their pockets with such cover ups like Carl lewis three failed drug test during the US trials and kept it under cover and failed to report it to the IAAF. When FloJo won the wind was indeed a factor at over 4m/s which shouldn't have counted. I simply don't trust the USATF whatsoever they are capable of fixting a world record for Tyson.
@NALDOKID101 <----Stupid is as stupid does. The event in Clermont was certified, the timing system was legit, as were the wind speed indicators. If the IAAF, who's based in Monaco and who's President is Senegalese, accepts the time as legitimate, then it is. You're nothing more than an American hating moron.
It's really amusing to see all you battybois cryin' about really stupid shit, but that seem typical...
@broadjumper1 Get the fuck outta here fool! The wind down on the track was hurricane heavy, you can hear that shit....and in case you don't know the IAAF question the legitimacy of the same issue I brought up...You cannot held a track meet in secrecy and expect it to be legit. That race had no wind speed Period that's the first thing real track enthusias look for and Clearmont did not release one...Look you and the Fucking TYSON train are corrupt just like USTF did with FLOJO and her wind time.
@NALDOKID101 - Riiiight, sure. Show PROOF that the "IAAF question the legitimacy" no one believes the word of some jealous little prick like you.
A track meet in secrecy? wow what an incredible DUMBASS you are. Clermont, FL is the home of the US National Training Center. The meet DID have a wind-speed indicator. You COULD ask Jamaicans like Delloreen Ennis who ran hurdles there or, Nickel Ashmeade, and Oshane Bailey or who were in the fucking race, but you'd rather an LYING ASSHOLE. Scumbag.
@broadjumper1 If you are track fan log on to wikipedia web site and pull up the history of Flo Jo. The video of the100m race will be located at the bottom of the page.At the start of the race look at the starters flag blowing fiercely in the wind, look at the vest of the runner in the lane next to Flo how her vest is lifted by the wind. Then, tell me how the wind gauge recorded a 0/sec reading. Also note that her coach stated that the time was wind aided.
@bgee4 - I'm well aware of the problems with Flo-Jo's wind reading in Indianapolis and that is was VERY likely substantially wind-aided, that has NOTHING to do with Tyson Gay's 9.79 in Florida.
@bgee4 - It never seems to occur to people that the people responsible for the operation of the gauges were employees of Swiss Timing. In an official report they wrote: "A 0.0 wind may be obtained if...the wind is swirling and wind gauges effectively cancel each other out or if the direction of the wind is perpendicular to the direction of the running. The point is that fools like Naldo want to believe there was some kind of conspiracy to give Joyner a record she ALREADY had.
@bgee4 - I believe Swiss Timing didn't want to look bad by admitting their equipment "malfunctioned" (due to the conditions) so moved ahead to submit the time for WR. ratification, a responsibility that belongs to the IAAF. Most involved in running the 1988 US Olympic Trials were opposed to the 10.49 submission, but the paperwork was signed and the performance was ratified. In spite of this MOST Americans track enthusiasts believe it was wind-aided and should be corrected as do I.
@broadjumper1 My point exactly, the officials knew at the time that there was a malfunction of the gauge, and yet no on choose to do anything about it. That seems like a cover up to me
@bgee4 - It's hardly a 'cover-up', but it's a glaring error. None of us know the exact procedures for record ratification, but this was hardly some major effort to 'steal' a record. like I said before, she went on to run a number of race that were faster than Ashford's old WR. At worst this was the result of lazy officials and now no one wants to address the mistake.
@NALDOKID101 - Well it proves one thing, that you're not ONLY a liar, but a fucking idiot. It wasn't wind-aided and you still have NO proof of anything you claimed in your first comment...Pretty pathetic really. What are you afraid of, some honest competition? Tyson runs well and you gotta LIE about it. Sure doesn't sound like confidence, it sounds like you a jealous little BITCH. Go smoke a bowl and STFU little boy.
@broadjumper1 Bitch no one scared of competition, just not the undercover kind! All track meet needs to be televise period! Including your personal history should be posted!
@NALDOKID101 - This was HARDLY undercover, you're just a pitiful little boy who absolutely HATES it whenever an American outperforms a Jamaican. Face it, I caught your dumb ass in LIES! The wind gauge was working, it was a sanctioned meet AND the IAAF has no suspicions about the legality of the mark. Oh and BTW, MANY track meets aren't televised. When was the last time the Jamaican trials were shown outside Jamaica? Dumb little boy...go smoke a bowl and STFU.
@broadjumper1 Go google the suspicion around that race and you'll see you little Latino fucker! All I'm saying is record the event it doesn't have to be live record it, not by a spectator shakey hands. People outside the USA don't trust the USA TO BE FAIR.. We all believed that the USA is trying to create a fraud platform for Tyson to secretly break a record without proof.! Be open and have a fair process like every other meet where the public can make their own judgment, not one that's created.
@NALDOKID101 - Christ, you're an ignorant little bastard Naldo...No, YOU are the one who made the accusation, YOU are the needs to prove it, you dumb fucking monkey. There was NOTHING unfair about the competition, MANY of your own countrymen participated in the same meet! What YOU believe doesn;t mean shit, it's what you can prove. Real Jamaican sportsmen are ashamed of fools like you.
@broadjumper1 You're aren't athlete for one... all you do is talk! you are the dude who would get jump every in school from dudes like me. You're a real cunt with oversize labia on both sides, your momma would've been better advise to abort you, but she chose to carry you as a crack baby. I would love to meet you son and maybe you can finally translate what you've been babbling about for years, let me hear from the HORSE'S mouth.
@NALDOKID101 - You're an athlete alright, a professional FLUFFER. Don't forget your kneepads!
Little bitches like you never scare anyone, you talk shit and then hide behind your momma's skirt when the fists started flying...in other words a typical Jamaican battyboi. Your sista be tougher den you.
Come to de states mon, I be sure to show you what I talkin' 'bout den send ya home to da grubby island in a fucking box! Hear dis from da Horse's mouth! You're a HORSE'S ASS.
@NALDOKID101 boyjumper1 goes through the same rhetoric. Talks a bunch of trash. His comments are proven wrong. He gets pissed off then he threatens to kick somebodies ass. Then when they agree to meet him he runs like s little girl.
He claims to be a college graduate and enlisted army. However he can't explain why he wasn't an officer. This guy is a loser!
He also tried to pick up a girl in a video once. You will see him as you visit other boards. He is a joke!
@mueygringo He's a lonely 49 year old ex military dude who's having a hard time blending in with the real world and so he does these things for attention and shock value. I'm moving on from him because he don't dictate what i do in the real world, unlike him I'm a college graduate with a great job. So I'm not at home like he's all day, waiting on a new posting so he could interact with working folks like me. Dude need to understand that we can all agree to disagree!
@broadjumper1 As a matter of fact Jamaican trials are indeed live streamed all over the world you idiot! and fuckers that Tyson race was not a trials, so don't compare them. You and all the USA fraud are trying to cookup some record for Tyson before the WC...We got to keep a eye on y'all cheating BALCO fuckers...Plus y'all are mad because we got top billings now and y'all are just chasing us. Y'all got one guy who can, we got 15 and counting . We got junior sprinters y'all none. we way ahead!
@NALDOKID101 - Christ you're stupid....No one's is talking about the TRIALS, the US trials are ALSO shown all over the world, we're talking about smaller meets and there's no way ALL of your nations meets are televised all over the world you ignorant little monkey.
And if you think we have NO junior sprinters, you really are a dumb fuck...we already know you're hateful little prick...
@broadjumper1 No you go and sniff your coke and smoke meth that's what y'all do and dip your cigarettes in PCP you f-ing drug addict! Come to JA AND GET BITCH SLAP by our street women!
@NALDOKID101 - hahahahahaha....yeah a JAMACIAN is gonna call me a drug-addict...bitch please, asshole like you spend every nickel you got gettin' high..yeah, I'm sure you know lots of street women, since your mudder and sistas make dere livin in da streets...bet you do too huh, battyboi?
@broadjumper1 For your info less than 5 % of Jamaicans smoke weed Fact! Jamaicans would rather sell the weed to dumb ass tourist like you and your inbred sister who you have been molesting for years... That is to show you that you know nothing about Jamaicans we don't smoke out supply when we got you to buy it, that's business!...Jamaicans are sellers not buyers PERIOD!....You on the other hand need to apologized to sister for molesting her! Even when I'm off my high you still a ugly molestor!
@NALDOKID101 - 5% Riiiiight, I'm sure you've pulled that "fact" outta the same place you keep your brain...your ASS! Sorry, but I'm too smart to buy ANYTHING form the likes of you. It's funny as hell to hear a clown like you claim Jamaica has no crime, no drug abuse, no homosexuals, no poverty, no murders and they've never heard of "Dudus"... BTW, use of weed is SO prevalent in Jamaica (60-70% of the rural population smoke) the Jamaican government is considering decriminalization.
@broadjumper1 Ok everyone this idiot is actually a Jamaican a sellout and he wanna fit in sooo bad with Americans that he seemed out of place. You're an undercover jamaican posing like you are a yanky, but I finally know why you escape Jamaica because of your batty boyism it's your fettish! closest monkey trying na kick knowlege you tai bow thong wearing ass! When have I ever stated JA has no problems. Yo son I do believed you're a waste of your daddy's sperm. You come on here because you lonely
@kingofsprints don't talk to that labia he looking attention anyways we got some real chances of getting some medal this year, that's all that matters.
@NALDOKID101 Yo Naldo dis dude is a disabled veteran who was kick out of the military for psychological problems his name in Michael I got his address too lol!
@kingofsprints - C'mon on by bitch, you think you got my address.....hahahahahahahaha. dumbass Jamaicans never heard of IP masking, the only masking they know about is the one they wear when they pull a robbery in Kingston, lol!
@kingofsprints - LOL, Me a Jamaican? hahahahahaha, thank GOD that's not true. And just for your information, I wasn't talking to YOU, I was responding to NALDOKID101 ...Or is this your sock account?
hahahahahahahaha, what a fucking dumbass, what did you forget to log in as Naldo, Queenofsprint? I come on here for two reasons, one to RESPOND to the comments assholes like you leave and to slap stupid little Jamaicans around, it's SO easy!
@broadjumper1 If my fellow country men wants to defend our athletes against your hateful rhetoric so be it. Cant you see you're the only one on here talking negatively about Jamaican dominance in the sprints. Look hater no other country has ever hold hold all levels of sprints titles from junior to pros except Jamaican and that's a fact. I will let you know this I will always defend my people and trust me all these bloggers on here knows Mr Michael is a Military failure. If you respond u a HOMO.
@NALDOKID101 - Please bitch, the other comments are from your sock accounts, even your fellow country men think you're an idiot. There's been NOTHING hateful in any of my comments toward your athletes or your 'dominance", I other than to say it's going to run its course and America will be back on top again, as sure as you're an idiot. Whining about me responding to your moronic remarks makes you a pussy-bitch battyboi...seriously, even other Jamaicans are embarrassed by your crying little girl.
@broadjumper1 Maybe I should tell everyone on here how you still lives at home with your mama, time for you to leave the nest bwoy you and your retarded sister Lol I saw her knock kneed ass at 7-11 earlier with biker shorts on. Your whole family is fuck up son, with your inbred ass! I'm sorry I gotta clown on you man! Lol
@NALDOKID101 - Seriously Naldo, how lame are you? You can't win an argument , all you do is lie and cast aspersions proving how little you really know about track and then you throw it childish insults whenever you get your dumb ass handed to you? What a pitfiful little battyboi you are?
TYSON GAY YOU NEED TAKE YOUR BEATEN LIKE A MAN AND STOP THE DAMN COMPLAIN......ON TOP OF THAT YOU WANNA DISS MULLINS ., AN (ENEMY IN THE CAMP)??? EVEN THOUGH YOU TRY 2 DISS MULLINS HE STILL SHOWS YOU MAD LOVE.....THATS CLASS ...GOOD RACE STEVE.....
@flavaa1 - There was no diss, stop the BS. Tyson Gay didn't call Mullings an "enemy." That comment was from Lawrence Johnson, the announcer. All he said is that "we have a rivalry in side the camp." That's a good thing, it makes both of them stronger and it probably safe to say that Mulling's improvement can be in part attributed by training side-by-side with Gay. So far they have the two fastest time on the world and ran a virtual dead-heat race. Should be a great season of sprinting.
I think i'm going to vomit if the Diamond League produces another meet like this one. . . -3.0+ headwind, 3 DQ's, and a winning time of 10.26. All the performances today made me die inside. I wish I could get those 10,26 seconds back from my life after watching this disgrace of a performance. As a track and field fanatic, I think all those who actually spectated this meet either deserve a redue or their money back.
This race was a friggin travesty. Not because Gay lost an extremely close race, but the starter was SHIT. But I'd love to see a better finish photo on this, looks like a dead heat to me.
@broadjumper1 It wasnt the wet track it was the fact that no one got out the blocks good everybody was nervous not to get another false start so the times really suffered! I seen Gay run a 9.8 in the pouring ran so dont blame it on the wet track. Bad start = Bad times. Everybody ran on the same track same conditions same time. No one can blame Gay fro losing because of that.
@wchs84eagles - No doubt the false starts had an effect, get a clue...the no-false-rule has been in effect long enough for these guys to get used to it. But it WAS the wet track, heavy air AND running into a -3.4 wind that slowed the times so much, not the disruptions. You being a "Current college Track sprinter" doesn't give you any special insight, all you gotta do is look at the slow times for all the sprint races in this meet to figure that out. BTW, Gay has NEVER run 9.8 is the pouring rain
@broadjumper1 but my point is that everyone had to run in the same conditions that excuse of "The track was wet and the wind was fierce". Its simple Gay had a horrible start Mullins had a good one. Tyson should have smoked him! I apologize Gay ran a split time of 9.91 in manchester last month it had poured down rain right before the race the track was soaked and he still ran in a 3.0 head wind when he ran the 150 he had a 14.5. Dont try to school me I know my facts
@wchs84eagles - Dude, you wouldn't know a fact if it bit you on your vacuous ass. Yes, they all had to run in the same conditions, no one disputes that, but the FACT is they ALL ran into a -3.4m/s HEADWIND. That's NOT an excuse, it's a FACT and it's WHY the times were poor along with other conditions, we were talking about why the race was SLOW, not why Gay lost it. Just look at the other meet performances and you'll see that every speed even was much slower due to wind & rain.
@wchs84eagles - BTW, Gay's first competition was this month in Clermont FL, not last month in manchester, exactly when was this race run? And assuming you're talking about a 400 relay split, 9.91 is SLOW considering Gay has gone under 9.0 in a number of relays. You DON'T know your facts, consider yourself schooled.
@broadjumper1 You ass tyson gay ran at Manchester May 15th the 150m and Im not talking about the 400 relay. I know what I am talking about it was the Manchester great city games. BTW
@wchs84eagles - You mean the novelty race that was run with a +1.5 TAILWIND, not a -3.0 headwind? Wow, there's a spot on comparison...This isn't even an IAAF ratified competition and you think it's comparable?
You clearly don't have a clue what you're talking about, but that won't stop you...rave on "current college Track sprinter" LOL! Maybe you should concentrate on the books instead of running your mouth. But that's probably the fastest thing you got going for ya..
@kanwan4 It wasnt the wet track it was te fact that no one got out the blocks good everybody was nervous not to get another false start so the times really decreased! Bad start = Bad times. Everybody ran on the same track same conditions same time. No one can blame Gay fro losing because of that.
Tyson gay is by far our best sprinter.

@beebeechitown i hope they give him a life time ban- if he is guilty. Mike Rodgers has tested positive, what is your excuse?

@bgee4 Mullings is a two time loser who used a masking agent to hide his steroid usage. Rodgers allegedly took a stimulant from a sports drink in Italy after passing a scheduled blood test. The first time penalty for such an offense is either a slap on the wrist or a three month suspension at most. Two totally different cases. I don't care what happens to this dude if he indeed cheated.

@TrickSports - Oh, BTW, an interesting bit of data.
5/03/2008 Kingston (NS), Usain Bolt - 9.76 wind 1.8 (wind corrected time = 9.84)
6/04/2011 Clermont, FL, Tyson Gay - 9.79 wind 1.1 (wind corrected time = 9.84)
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@broadjumper1 What are you trying to prove with the time comparing? I just want to know so I can add my input... no disrespect or anything
blkhauck 8 months ago
@blkhauck - Not TRYING to prove anything, just comparing. Trick said Bolt started his season MUCH faster with a 9.76 compared to Gay's 9.79. @TrickSports - Good enough, I didn't recall if anyone had started faster. But let's not start talking shit about tracks and conditions quite yet, Clermont's isn't exactly a speedway. There's not that much between 9.79 & 9.76. I know you're a Jamaican homer, but at least try to remain objective this season, so will I.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@TrickSports - Like I've said before, it has to be settled on the track. Bolt's ran a fine 200 in the rain, but no one is ready to hand over another championship to anyone just yet. 2010 is passed, but so are 2008 & 2009. But up to now, not even Bolt is at "Bolt's level. should be a great season.
I don't know, but has any sprinter EVER started the season faster than 9.79? I don't think so.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@TrickSports - He's broken 10.00 once...when Tyson Gay ran 9.79, so I'm not inclined to give him too much credit just yet.
Anyone know who's committed to running in the Lausanne 100 yet?
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@TrickSports - Trick, really...that remark is beneath even you. Just be happy that you've got a fine stable of sprinters instead of talking shit. Mullings seems to be a really humble and talented kid. Your trials this year should be the shit! we'll see some fast times for sure.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
There's too much speculation here. These guys don't care about times in June its about properly going through there training so they have there peak performance at the World Champs. Lets just congratulate them for running 10.2 into a -3.4 HEADWIND!!

i dont blame tyson for ruuning soo slow man..this was a f**k up race...lol

@TrickSports
youre an idiot. tyson is the second fastest sprinter in the world. not overrated in anyway.
dkblade27 8 months ago
some of you guys know very little about track and field except for strikemike.

@TrickSports I think thats alittle harsh. I mean Tyson Gay did beat USAIN BOLT!
UFC295 8 months ago
@UFC295 TrickSports is not being too harsh on Asafa. Asafa is breaking the cardinal rule for all JAmaican sprinters who came up through Champs---- Finish your race & do your best. Asafa is not doing this, he is choking. To emphasize my point take a look at Vcb 200m race at the Ja invitational meet. Although hoplessly beaten my Fraser, VCb drove hard to the line and even dip at the finish for maximum effort. That is what we want to see in all our runners
bgee4 8 months ago
@bgee4 - "Finish your race & do your best."
Too bad, because he's very talented.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@broadjumper1 When Tyson beat him in their last race Bolt actually ran through the line. He never gave up.And for his antics, its just his personality, he has always been a prankster from his youth. Also! when Bolt looses a race he immediately goes over and congratulates the winner. i have never seen Tyson congratulate Bolt when Bolt wins.
bgee4 8 months ago
@bgee4 No he didn't, watch the race again on YouTube. Bolt ran about 90 meters and eased up through the line because he knew he was beaten. And I really don't care what he did in his youth, I'd rather he grow up and treat the sport with some respect. As for giving congratulations, first off they haven't run against each that many times and when Bolt has won, he's taken a victory lap. I don't have a problem with that but I also don't expect Gay to chase him down just to give him congratulations.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
Sorry I wasn't paying much detail to the video when I said that : C
kanwan4 8 months ago
Actually Tyson's start wasn't that bad. He had the same reaction time as Mullings and stayed within a half step of him until he pulled up out of his acceleration phase. Mullings kept low a little longer and transitioned more smoothly into the wind, giving him more momentum when he pulled up. Luckily for Tyson, his max velocity and speed endurance are just as good as Bolt's over 100m which helped him out big time today.

TYSON YOU ARE NOT READY FOR USAIN BOLT ,,,,SORRY .,I WAS @ THAT SAME TRACK MEET A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO WHEN USAIN BOLT RAN IN THE RAIN AND SET A WORLD RECORD EASY......NOW ,.... BOLT HAS NOT RAN IN 10 MONTHS AND HIS FIRST RACE HE RAN 9.91.......THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!
flavaa1 8 months ago
@flavaa1 But Tyson's first 100 this season was a 9.79 though....
swagteam31 8 months ago
@swagteam31 That time of 9.79 at an event that's not cerified is not valid and the fact that the timing system they used is also not valid is major reason...That race should not be allowed to count because it wasn't officiated properly including wind speed verification... The USTF did this purposely to get one up on anything that occurred in Eugene...That's a con job....his 9.79 should be nullified.

@NALDOKID101 Good comment! America is trying to play mind games. They are falsifying times to try and get back the 100m record. They lied about the wind gauge when Flo Jo ran the world record and they are playing the same games again. But, like Bob said, " no matter what games they play we got something they can never take away"----ITS THE LIGHTNING!!!!!
bgee4 8 months ago
@bgee4 True Right On! The USA did it with FLOJO after the wind gauge broke and 10.49 remain the record how bold. But you see back then the USA had the IAAF in their pockets with such cover ups like Carl lewis three failed drug test during the US trials and kept it under cover and failed to report it to the IAAF. When FloJo won the wind was indeed a factor at over 4m/s which shouldn't have counted. I simply don't trust the USATF whatsoever they are capable of fixting a world record for Tyson.
NALDOKID101 8 months ago 2
@NALDOKID101 <----Stupid is as stupid does. The event in Clermont was certified, the timing system was legit, as were the wind speed indicators. If the IAAF, who's based in Monaco and who's President is Senegalese, accepts the time as legitimate, then it is. You're nothing more than an American hating moron.
It's really amusing to see all you battybois cryin' about really stupid shit, but that seem typical...
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@broadjumper1 Get the fuck outta here fool! The wind down on the track was hurricane heavy, you can hear that shit....and in case you don't know the IAAF question the legitimacy of the same issue I brought up...You cannot held a track meet in secrecy and expect it to be legit. That race had no wind speed Period that's the first thing real track enthusias look for and Clearmont did not release one...Look you and the Fucking TYSON train are corrupt just like USTF did with FLOJO and her wind time.
NALDOKID101 8 months ago 2
Scumbag.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@broadjumper1 If you are track fan log on to wikipedia web site and pull up the history of Flo Jo. The video of the100m race will be located at the bottom of the page.At the start of the race look at the starters flag blowing fiercely in the wind, look at the vest of the runner in the lane next to Flo how her vest is lifted by the wind. Then, tell me how the wind gauge recorded a 0/sec reading. Also note that her coach stated that the time was wind aided.
bgee4 8 months ago
@bgee4 - I'm well aware of the problems with Flo-Jo's wind reading in Indianapolis and that is was VERY likely substantially wind-aided, that has NOTHING to do with Tyson Gay's 9.79 in Florida.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@bgee4 - It never seems to occur to people that the people responsible for the operation of the gauges were employees of Swiss Timing. In an official report they wrote: "A 0.0 wind may be obtained if...the wind is swirling and wind gauges effectively cancel each other out or if the direction of the wind is perpendicular to the direction of the running. The point is that fools like Naldo want to believe there was some kind of conspiracy to give Joyner a record she ALREADY had.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@bgee4 - I believe Swiss Timing didn't want to look bad by admitting their equipment "malfunctioned" (due to the conditions) so moved ahead to submit the time for WR. ratification, a responsibility that belongs to the IAAF. Most involved in running the 1988 US Olympic Trials were opposed to the 10.49 submission, but the paperwork was signed and the performance was ratified. In spite of this MOST Americans track enthusiasts believe it was wind-aided and should be corrected as do I.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@broadjumper1 My point exactly, the officials knew at the time that there was a malfunction of the gauge, and yet no on choose to do anything about it. That seems like a cover up to me
bgee4 8 months ago

@NALDOKID101 - This was HARDLY undercover, you're just a pitiful little boy who absolutely HATES it whenever an American outperforms a Jamaican. Face it, I caught your dumb ass in LIES! When was the last time the Jamaican trials were shown outside Jamaica? Dumb little boy...go smoke a bowl and STFU.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@broadjumper1 Go google the suspicion around that race and you'll see you little Latino fucker! All I'm saying is record the event it doesn't have to be live record it, not by a spectator shakey hands. People outside the USA don't trust the USA TO BE FAIR.. We all believed that the USA is trying to create a fraud platform for Tyson to secretly break a record without proof.! Be open and have a fair process like every other meet where the public can make their own judgment, not one that's created.

As a track and field fanatic, I think all those who actually spectated this meet either deserve a redue or their money back.

kanwan4 8 months ago
@kanwan4 - A wet track against a -3.4 wind? Given the conditions it wasn't as bad as all that.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@broadjumper1 It wasnt the wet track it was the fact that no one got out the blocks good everybody was nervous not to get another false start so the times really suffered! I seen Gay run a 9.8 in the pouring ran so dont blame it on the wet track. Bad start = Bad times. Everybody ran on the same track same conditions same time. No one can blame Gay fro losing because of that.
-Current college Track sprinter
wchs84eagles 8 months ago
@wchs84eagles - No doubt the false starts had an effect, get a clue...the no-false-rule has been in effect long enough for these guys to get used to it. But it WAS the wet track, heavy air AND running into a -3.4 wind that slowed the times so much, not the disruptions. You being a "Current college Track sprinter" doesn't give you any special insight, all you gotta do is look at the slow times for all the sprint races in this meet to figure that out. BTW, Gay has NEVER run 9.8 is the pouring rain
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@broadjumper1 but my point is that everyone had to run in the same conditions that excuse of "The track was wet and the wind was fierce". Its simple Gay had a horrible start Mullins had a good one. Tyson should have smoked him! I apologize Gay ran a split time of 9.91 in manchester last month it had poured down rain right before the race the track was soaked and he still ran in a 3.0 head wind when he ran the 150 he had a 14.5. Dont try to school me I know my facts
wchs84eagles 8 months ago
@wchs84eagles - Dude, you wouldn't know a fact if it bit you on your vacuous ass. Yes, they all had to run in the same conditions, no one disputes that, but the FACT is they ALL ran into a -3.4m/s HEADWIND. That's NOT an excuse, it's a FACT and it's WHY the times were poor along with other conditions, we were talking about why the race was SLOW, not why Gay lost it. Just look at the other meet performances and you'll see that every speed even was much slower due to wind & rain.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@wchs84eagles - BTW, Gay's first competition was this month in Clermont FL, not last month in manchester, exactly when was this race run? And assuming you're talking about a 400 relay split, 9.91 is SLOW considering Gay has gone under 9.0 in a number of relays. You DON'T know your facts, consider yourself schooled.
broadjumper1 8 months ago
@broadjumper1 You ass tyson gay ran at Manchester May 15th the 150m and Im not talking about the 400 relay. I know what I am talking about it was the Manchester great city games. BTW
wchs84eagles 8 months ago
@wchs84eagles - You mean the novelty race that was run with a +1.5 TAILWIND, not a -3.0 headwind? Wow, there's a spot on comparison...This isn't even an IAAF ratified competition and you think it's comparable?
You clearly don't have a clue what you're talking about, but that won't stop you...rave on "current college Track sprinter" LOL! Maybe you should concentrate on the books instead of running your mouth. But that's probably the fastest thing you got going for ya..
