Another exception is the fact that the judge who administered LBJ's oath aboard AF1 after JFK's death did use the first person.

Aside from the 1st person/2nd person issue, all oaths have been pretty consistent. The CJ in 1965 did say "office of the presidency" rather than "office of president". And then we have Roberts' flubs, including misplacing "faithfully", and "president to" in place of "president of".

Years examined: 1933, 49, 53, 61, 63, 65, 69, 73, 74, 77, 81, 89, 93, 2001, 09.

FWIW, I've just done some quick research on past oaths of office, starting with FDR in 1933, tho I couldn't find all of them. It seems that, up thru '69, the Chief Justice used the 2nd person singular (you, your) to administer the oath. Starting in '73 (Nixon's 2nd inaugural), there was a switch to first person singular (I, my, me).

Exceptions: In '81 and 2009, the CJ switched from 1st person to 2nd for the "So help me God" finale. (And, in '09, Roberts seemed to phrase it as a question.)...

Although problematical ( a dictatorial bent, the attempt to pack the Supreme Court, the interment of Japanese citizens during WW II), Roosevelt was a great man who overcame a tremendous physical handicap and provided real leadership during the Depression and WW II; definitely "Above Average" in my estimation; too bad he died in office, leaving us in the hands of that nasty little nebbish Harry Truman. There needs to be a complete re-evaluation of the U.S. Presidents' rankings.

Say what you want about Truman, but Truman has been reevaluated and ranks in the top ten greatest Presidents of all time. Truman fell into politics largely by accident; moreover, he had to make some extremely difficult decisions in trying times.
