Discovering your music and talent has inspired me to take up saxophone again. I played for approximately 2 years and then gave up. I was planning on going back to piano which i have more experience with but I feel that the saxophone is a much more romantic and mellow instrument. I am looking towards purchasing one of my own but I do not know a saxophone that I can get as a beginner. I will definately start off with a stock mouthpeice but as for decently priced alto, I do not know which to get.

Keilwerth stock mouthpieces are one of the best stock mouthpieces you can get.Anyhow,is pretty impressive to get such a clean sound and it feels 'even' and rich for a 2 & 1/2 with such mouthpiece.This shows us how any player can sound good on anything applying the right techniques/

Mr Beasley i have your Hip hop improv DVD and you seem to be using a different mouthpiece kind of a Vandoren Vintage mouthpiece ...Is that correct??

yeah do you mean you use the stock mouthpiece that came with the horn? because if so i don't know how your able to get such a beautiful tone.

yep. In sound pro for sax I talk about being able to play all through the the horn no matter the mouthpiece. Its kind of my specialty :)
