@TheNonameben flight of the bumble bee was written to be an etude. And, Its written chromatically. Not many songs lend themselves to great speed. Flight of the bumble bee was intended to be wicked fast.

I highly doubt your right, I play guitar fairly well and to me he sounds and looks flawless. An to top it off I'm pretty sure most of those people are signing something agreeing with what they seen. I could be wrong though. I mostly here the accents and some sound in between!!!
