  • Whatever we have,we got from God...how humble.Love you Doris.

  • Wow besides being such a great actress, singer and beautiful woman she is so humble and owns a pristine soul

  • While Doris Day has done recent radio interviews (some can be heard at dorisday.com) she chooses not to appear on camera. Too bad she never wanted to appear in moves or TV again after her TV series and specials in the 70s. Sure would be nice to see this legend again - now at 87 yrs old!

  • I just read the book. Fascinating. Thank you "Clara". Thank you Merv. Thank you for loading this video.

  • Wonderfully talented, she appears to be so honest and open in this interview. Never a Merv fan, but he does a pretty good job here (all things considered) ... Day was a dear friend to many in Hollywood, and the people who worked closely with her always seemed to hold her in high regard ... loved her work. I also thought she was a great beauty ...

  • Doris Day is definitely one of a kind! Not like any other star out there...even today! So glad she's still with us <3

  • Doris is NOT average looking! If I was a guy I would think she was H-O-T hot!

  • She says she is average looking! Well you could say Doris was unbelievably humble. No way was she "average". Seems like a wonderful person who unfortunately had a lot of sadness in her personal life.

  • @westy40 Doris is a wonderful person. With the amount of sadness in her life, it's amazing that she's been able to keep such a positive outlook on life, and it's very admirable! Thanks for posting such a lovely comment! =)

  • @westy40 Doris would probably disagree with you regarding that anything that has happened in her life was "unfortunate". She said in her book that everything happens for a reason and that she is who she is because of it. I love that kind of outlook. It's really the best way, keeps you humble and optimistic.

  • @geupelboi Well I haven't read her book so I said unfortunate from only the bits and pieces I have read through the years. I just thought she didn't deserve so much of what happened to her. But its great if she said in her book that she is stronger from it all. I think she got stronger as the years went on. She was certainly one of a kind. I wish we had more stars like this today. She personified class!

  • I saw the Celebrity Theater in 1997 on Vine Street in Hollywood. There was a fire a couple years earlier and the theater was in sad shape. They tore it down later and now there is a condominium developement there now. They did keep the Art Deco entrance howerver.

  • OMG have this on DVD. Thanks for posting!

  • @iTanichan You're welcome! =)

  • Wonderful to see again ... thank you !! She's a beautiful lady !

  • @Dayniac4324 You're welcome! She is beautiful, isn't she? Thanks for the nice comment! =)

  • I have the book they're speaking of, "Doris Day: Her Own Story", and its copyright date is 1975 so I would think this interview was done in 1975 also to promote the book.

  • @JimboJoeToGo You're right! Thank you! =)

  • @JimboJoeToGo Wow. Nothing gets by you does it?

  • wow I never saw her on talk shows

  • @hinatsu1 She rarely did talk shows. She rarely does interviews in general - she's done more interviews over the radio than she has on television, though. =)

  • Love seeing this. Doris has done so few interviews over the years, and I've never seen one from this era. Wonderful history!!!

  • @txquis I'm glad you enjoyed it! =)
