Change a whole economy Hitler did it. Need a scape goat. The baby boomers have destroyed S.S. fund, rob fund for the bankers and Housing developers. CNN blames Boomers the rest of the country agrees. Corporate and government will defer the wrath of the American people into the boomers. Really is a plan that always worked through out history. Bankers and politicians who caused this crisis walk free and the corporate commercials with prove it as the American people masturbate their minds on T.V.
Reinflate the bubble again. They may get away with it again one more time, maybe two more times. Timing is the tough part here. Schiff is right but when? He thinks the numbers are so big this time that this is the last time but who knows..
I think it is more plausible if including taxes, interest on the mortgage, expense, etc. seems he still is exaggerating some. But the point is understood.
Peter Schiff, around here in northeast Arkansas the farm ground is way too expensive. The land will not support the price it costs to buy it. The cost of procuction of cotton, corn, soy beans, wheat, milo, etc and the current prices the farmer gets in the market are almost even so there is no or little money to be made even if one owns his own land..the Omish are OK but their cost of production is minimal so we may see a return to a rural/agrarian society of the 30's--50's.
Or possibly - there's currently, or has recently been, an alternate demand for the land beyond the primary production uses you've mentioned and so the property price has risen in line of the overall demand for the land.
Alternatively the land prices are bloated and are likely to come down in value as the price deflates to be in line with existing demand.
They say real estate is local.
Do you know of any local demand which is inflating the price?
I was thinking he sounded a little slurred, then at 0:26 'hic'. lmao.
Don't get me wrong, I know what he's saying holds true despite his 'happy hour'. But if Peter should happen to read this - I know you're trying your hardest to get people to listen, but don't let it drive you to drink when people's irrational tendancy to think things must get better, that it can't get worse, when their tendency to be chicken little, leads to them not listening.
im used to have a problem with drugs and alcohol and ever since i've listened to these shows i've thought he was drinking or smoking on something. he always pauses to take a drink. this stuff will drive you to drink. just look at max keisler who has his own show on bbc radio and is posting drunk obama impersonations on youtube.

Peter is wrong about his rent being 1 percent per year unless he's getting one hell of a deal.
Thats $1000 a year per $100,000 of house.
He must mean $1k/month rent which is equal to 12% gross per year for the landlord.
Big difference.

Agreed. Of course we could be including the fact that interest is front loaded too.

People may not agree with some of what he says and I agree that h ehas been hammered with everyone else.
However, The bond bubble is undeniable and Yields will be gaining more momentum as they did this week. We may hit 5-6% on the long Bond by Mid 09

Have you considered looking at other areas?
