True, personally I dont use the reverse thrust in flight simulator. Thats because the deecalleration or (braking) physics in FSX and FS9 alike are fucked up. Planes brake twice as fast compared to real life. Thats just with spoilers + reverse thrust + speedbrakes # 1 + max landing weight. Usually I stop within 1500feet of runway, no matter what.

I left out the reverse thrust as I need spoilers for rejecting takeoff, to add more braking realism. On the other hands its unrealist

1. Because he wanted to make it more dramatic

2. Because he wanted to get the plane 'bogged down' in mud rather than have the engine scrape off of concrete and possibly igniting the fuel.
