If the President had been discussing HR 3200, you--and Rep Wilson--might have a point worthy of contention, but again, the President was representing his OWN plan, one that Rep Wilson was not privileged to peruse prior to the President's presentation.

Hospitals are required by law to treat anyone who shows up in the ER, regardless of their citizenship status. Illegals already get free ER procedures and free births. If you've read the bill (clearly you haven't), you would know that it mentions nothing about illegal immigrants and in fact emphasizes (in 15 pages) the need for having translators to aid doctors in treating patients. The bill is very sketchy and doesn't give a clear cut answer to how illegals will be handled.

Respectfully, HR 3200 was not the plan President Obama discussed in his speech before the Joint Session of Congress. He was discussing a distinctly DIFFERENT plan than the one marked-up and amended in Rep Wilson's committee. If the President had been discussing HR 3200, you--and Rep Wilson--might have a point worthy of contention, but again, the President was representing his OWN plan, one that Rep Wilson was not privileged to peruse prior to the President's presentation.

Hospitals are required by law to treat anyone who shows up in the ER, regardless of their citizenship status. Illegals already get free ER procedures and free births. If you've read the bill (clearly you haven't), you would know that it mentions nothing about illegal immigrants and in fact emphasizes (in 15 pages) the need for having translators to aid doctors in treating patients. The bill is very sketchy and doesn't give a clear cut answer to how illegals will be handled.
