  • Buckethead simply kick ass...

  • Am i really hearing this!?Omg i love it!

  • this makes me cry. so beautiful.

  • 02:44-02:50 it's just pure adrenaline..you can notice bucket was a music-creating-machine back in those days, even more than now!

  • Idiot noise. 1) Pick a dumb name 2) play meaningless atonal crap 3) wait for idiots like those here to genuflect and tell you how great you are when you actually suck

  • @BetterTasteThanU

Slash don't be mad,you are stil good ;)

  • @BetterTasteThanU Haha you stupid troll.

  • This music is just amazing. Even the title fits perfectly with the song.

Just search Wikipedia for "Pollyanna principle"

It's complex on so many levels, I love it.

  • Man, I love this. Especially around 1:57 to 2:50 =)

  • i just found this out but its good i wish i new before

  • i like a LOT thanatopsis, i just LOVE anatomize, i wonder if there's some other artist with this style, anyone knows one?

  • 2:19 sounds like nottingham lace

  • A lot of credit is given to Buckethead, but Travis Dickerson should also be revered. I mean, the guy's like Buckethead on the Piano.

  • Travis is great on so many levels

  • yes he is one great guitarist.

  • i suck... the real user doesnt digg buckethead...... but im not him ... 5* slapbassboy1

  • Ahh I just love it at about 2:40 when the other instruments fade out abit and Buckethead does his thing for several consecutive seconds that seem like an instant, it's sooo great :D. The 8 minutes feels like 2 min tbh.

  • So funky at the end.

  • The world deserves to hear Buckethead.

  • @speaker3600 No, we really don't. No one is that deserving except him. But sometimes we get things that are too good for us to have deserved.

  • Axiology is their best album imo. incredible

  • yea thanatopsis kicked ass! i saw them play with death in berkeley where the fuck is ther music!!!!!

  • thanatopsis was a bay area death metal band from the mid 1990s

  • Kick ass song!

  • great piece !!!

  • ......buckethead has spider hands that make him good...

  • you mean he has spiders for hands

  • Goddamn this song is fucking awesome!

  • the beggining sounds like another brick in the wall.

  • Who cares if someone became a buckethead fan because of guitar hero? Is that not the same thing as hearing a song on the radio and really liking it leading you to find out more stuff from the artist? The all of you are making it sound, the only ones who are allowed to listen to his music are the ones who knew him before he went main stream.

Seriously, stop being so full of yourselves.

  • I heard another song by Thanatopsis and I thought it was just Buckethead going for something mundane, which seemed weird to me. But this proves me wrong. Buckethead does anything perfectly.

  • i feel so happy

  • .......alot of people know buckethead because of Jordan (which I loved before i heard it was on guitarfearo) but how many people know Praxis/Death Cube K/Thanatopsis/Deli Creeps....have they heard "Interworld and the New Innocence"...nah. Only music LOVERS know and appreciate this artist....

  • So true!

althou i don't like death cube k, it's just 2 scary for me BUT a masterpice!

  • Reply to ricluvno304s:

:P First time i heard buckethead was with primus, then i decided to listen to some cause people said he was great.

I fell in love with his music and i listen to every project he have.

    They're all great.

A true underrated genious, BucketHead is only known for jordan.

  • Hey man I admit a lot of people know of him because of Guitar Hero true but he gave the OK to have the song put on the game so he knew what would happen! A lot of people like him because of that but a lot people don't so I don't know I've know about Buckethead for over 3 years which isn't very long but if the only way I would have ever found out about him was by guitar hero I think I would still be happy and many of them could later go on to be bigger fans and know more about him then me or you

  • I know your comment is like super old, but I discovered Buckethead through Guitar Hero and I now listen to Praxis, Death Cube K (Bucket's alias), Thanatopsis, the Deli Creeps and I LOVE Interworld and the New Innocence / Animal Behaviour mixed within that song..

Are you suggesting you're more of a music LOVER because we discovered this musician through a different media?

  • Same with me, I feel as if I owe a thanks to them or something,

  • This is nothing like me.... I never knew Buckethead was in Guitar Hero....

Ok, so I've been hearing the name "Buckethead" all over the place (this was about 3 years ago) and I decided to FINALLY click a youtube video to see what he/it was.... then I found out he was possible the best guitarist in the world. Then I got addicted to Guitar Hero, and found it Jordan was in Guitar Hero 2. I then just got so addicted to all his amazing songs.

    Buckethead is my hero

  • Well with his variety of music, everyone is bound to hear about him in MANY ways. He's almost like a social network of musicians.

  • finally somone who discovered buckethead though GH and isnt a douche. thanks for proving the steriotype wrong

  • @ricluvno304s Ummm, dude, how can you be a big fan of Jordan before Guitar Hero when it was written FOR Guitar Hero? Sure, I see that you appreciate Buckethead, just like me but don't lie in your comment.

  • @Sitrukpiano He was performing it live before he did the version for Guitar Hero

  • @BaconSquishy Incorrect. he performed the killswitch section as an interlude alongside POB between songs. He never played the full version of the song "Jordan" as it was an untitled bridge. It was only for Guitar Hero that the version which featured the song "Jordan" as a full track was made.

  • @Sitrukpiano Im not sure i ever said anything about a full version merely that he played it live in one form or another which could be what the original comment could be referring to, either way its entirely feasible he heard it before guitar hero

  • @BaconSquishy He can claim he liked the interlude piece but it was never Jordan before Guitar Hero because it was named and created FOR guitar hero! Before that it was just an untitled bridge in shows, as I have said above. He did the killswitch section then broke into POB.

  • @Sitrukpiano You're obviously just some nerdy wikipedia whore, because 95% of the song was composed performed before it was ever released on shitty guitar hero. He joined it with parts from Post Office Buddy, as well as other songs as he never had a recorded solo for that track. so he would just jump through the riffs/licks. The track was titled Jordan, therefore, buddy that commented is right in saying he liked Jordan before guitar hero, as it was already a Buckethead track. You're a knob

  • @ilikebeer Dude, no need to insult. I insulted no one in my comments. 95%? Where are you pulling this statistic from? The killswitch interlude existed, the solo and the aeolian scales did not. Therefore, the piece was not jordan. That is like saying that you liked a piece on forensic follies years before forensic follies came out: Xenochrony does not equal the same as a previous piece.

  • @Sitrukpiano He could've just not heard the guitar hero version until like 3 years after it came out. But he could've heard it outside of guitar hero after the release, but before he knew it was on there.

  • i havent found anything from kevins noodle house, bucket and brain.

  • @naneux what are Kevin's Noodle House, Bucket, and Brain?

  • @jsteele07189 Buckethead and brain have an album called "kevins noodle house", if I am not mistaken its just bucket and brain jamming, buckets on bass on that album. Brain has a new one too its called "the crying towel"

  • upload gorgone on here dude

  • I have uploaded Nostrum too.

  • Thanatopsis FTW!!!!!

This is a cool song too. I hereby declare PlastinationStation is the best youtube user of all time.

    WHO'S WIT MAH!!!!

On a similar note, isn't there a death cube k album named thanatopsis?

  • There is a song called Thanatopsis by Death Cube K off of Tunnel.

  • @PlastinationStation yeah DEATH CUBE K SUCKS ASS.... also a little funn face rearrange the letters and u can spell buckethead.

  • @PlastinationStation Death Cube K Blows....And A Lil fun fact rearrange the letters in Death Cube K and you can spell Buckethead!!!!

  • Thanatopsis is deffinatly one of the best bands in the history of time.

I could listen to them for eternity.

  • This is my favorite Thanatopsis song. It sucks that these guys aren't well known.

  • well atleast Buckethead is pretty well known :D

  • True... :D

  • but mostly because of guitar hero, oh well, its not like he didnt deserve the attention anyway. Anyway great song, axiology was also an amazing album.

  • thats right a lot of people knew and started listening to buckethead 'cause of guitar hero...and i think buckethead didnt like that...

  • Those people who criticize the ones who began listening to buckethead's material just because they liked jordan on GH2.

I mean, I began listening to buckethead AFTER playing GH 2, but that doesn't mean I am dumb or that I don't deserve to listen to Buckethead's other albuns, and after GH buckethead became way more known.

  • i dont mean they dont deserve to....is just that many people started that way...its not wrong..

lets just enjoy his music and be done with it

  • exactly.. so fucking what.

it is the people that say "buckethead plays random notes" or "has no emotion" or "jordan is his best song" that they should be addressing, not people who found out through GH2

  • i like this music, its going to go straight to my chillax playlist!

Also a radio dj told me that it's hard to put songs on air that are over 4-5 minutes long, so not being on the radio dosent help and alot of people prefer words in their songs these days.

  • Great!

  • Why aren't these guys all over the web! Greatest sounding music in the recent years.

  • You're right! Spread the word!

  • you gotta love thanatopsis
