  • Hi Gavin, quick question-

Give me your personal thoughts, comparing the MTH and Atlas AEM-7 models.

    Thanks Bro,

    Todd

    Great Video!

  • SOOO LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol cool looks like a fun christmas!

  • lol nice Haol action figures standin by the amtrak car lol

  • Yes. That same year MTH came out with a catenary set, but it looks ridiculous and costs too much. I prefer a Swiss catenary system (Sommerfeldt). It looks much better and isn't too difficult to install. It is however permanent; you screw it into the wood base of your layout.

  • The system is hand made so the products vary a little from year-to-year. This AEM-7 and my Atlas O both run fine under it which is important to me because the Atlas O uses a proprietary control system.

  • are those halo figurines?

  • yeah.. there were some Halo ActionClix under the tree and when we read the box to see how to play we noticed the instructions (or the box) say "O Scale Figures." I just may get a pack, remove the bases and glue them down as patrolmen at the layout station. I love Halo. For now they are the first and only figures for the Christmas Tree Special.

  • cool. yea halo is saweeeeeeeeeeet.

  • does it have protosound 1 or to and whats its curve radious?

  • the AEM-7's all have PS 1.0 :-(

PS 1.0 is so hard for me to control, but I am learning to get the hang out it. The track is O60 (fastrack) but that engine can go as low as O42.

  • thanks.yeah ps1 can be hard to learn.
