i really hate that shit. it has happenes to me alot. this time though i was checking a page, then suddenly some anti virus program installed itself and started scanning for stuff. it found 34 infections. i started AVG free scan to check if it was serious, but avg diddnt find anything, witch proves that these programs are fake and are trying to earn money by fooling people.
simpler way is to restart computer, repeatedly hit f8, start in safe mode, start system restore and select a restore point before you got the virus or whatever, and bam, your done. no nead to download any anti fake anitvirus tool. for all of you paranoid people who won't download anything off the internet, this is the way to go
I read the site online and instead of Internet Explorer I use Firefox...so when it asks for me to "Go to Tools then Options then..." where do I go next because Firefox isnt the same set up as Internet Explorer PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!
It seems all you have to do is a system restore after rebooting in safe mode. Check out bestloopholes.blogspot.com/2010/12/antivirus-action-virus.html
@nikapoprincess In this case you might have to try downloading from a friends computer and then install onto your computer using a jump drive or cd.
If all else fails, you might want to disable your firewall, and kill all known Antivirus Action processes from the task manager.
This should help you access the internet in safe mode. The Antivirus Action .exe processes help to shut down your internet. You must end the known processes using Task Manager.
i didnt use any programs to! when i used MalwareBytes it said nothing was infected. my laptop comes with something called start up repair and it fixed it! i love god!
Hi, it doesn't work :-( I changed the file name to iexplorer.exe and it still says that the file is infected. Then I looked into the Internet Explorer folder, the file there is explore.exe (without the r in the end) so I tried that but didn't work either. Any idea? Thanks beforehand.
@littlerianti Did you try downloading and using it in safe mode (turn your computer on then push F8 and then select safe mode with netwroking and you should be able to download it and do what ever else you have to do)
so you are telling us not to trust antivirus and give us a link to install an antivirus? O.o

Only one problem. It says you have to register to remove the checks selected.
