The cops in Minnesota are like this too. I remember when they came by our school and were giving a speech about drugs and had a Q&A session. All the people asked about was "OMG HOW OFTEN DO YOU USE YOUR GUN" and the officers explained how they have never fired their guns in a real situation. An officer did once years later but it was to stop a guy in a truck who was going to ram through a police barrier to kill himself by driving off a bridge. They shot and disabled the guy and he lived.
