  • @UlisesBerrueco

Chrous mode, rate around 2 o'clock, level all the way up and the sensitivity around 3 o'clock.

  • Great job Björn :-) I almost forgot the cool pre-album version of the run. Thanks!

  • awesome sound

  • is there any tabs for this? sorry i usually dont ask but i find this song with a strange chord variation so any helpm would be great.. thanks

  • very nice video......... =)

  • Nice job Bjorn... I used to have a bootleg of this from back in the days when Gilmour played On the Run with his guitar... I wish someone could post it if they have it... there is one posting of it, but there is much better version...great job otherwise...

  • @sillentdragon there are plenty of bootlegs of it out here on youtube, i think i may have one the bootlegs ill have to check.

  • i was wondering is their any sound difference with the old and new version of the sixties im about to buy one and want to know because they offer old and new version. im thinking new. newer parts hasn't been sitting around. thanks.

  • As far as I know it's only the graphics that's new.

  • just ordered on last night im syked

  • Yep, I think so.

  • @BjornRiis

why didi you choose the MJM..vs the DEja vibe or the Sweetsound Vibe??

  • The MJM is the closest you'll get to the original UniVox Uni-Vibe.

  • Hey nice playing man, right now i'm getting really in to David Gilmour's style. and trying to draw form his and make one of my own (not that i think i'll ever ba as good, just for fun) but i was wondering , i'm gonna be building a custom guitar, and between the CS fat 50's pups and the CS 69 pups which are closer to a DG tone?

  • hehe you use the same pups as I do (: they come in stock for the fender CP 60s strat.

  • how does the mjm sixties vibe rwact to fuzz/was the intensity on full? and great playing!

  • AMAZING!!! do you have tabs for the travel sequence?

  • Thanks! Don't have any tabs. Sorry!

  • hey could yo make a video of those tricky parts on the song moneyy

like the tremolo chords... the 3 solos..

    i dunno surpise us

  • Man...your right on time

    Great job!

  • Wasn't this under the name 'travel sequence' before it was properly sorted?

  • Yep.

  • Does the Powerboost really work on this solid state amp?

  • Depends on the amp. The clean channel on mine has lots of headroom on mine so it works OK but the pedal is designed for tube amps so I wouldn't recommend it for solid states. Sounds wonderful on my Sound City 50w tube.

  • Beautiful Strat!! I love the black on black that Gilmour plays!!

  • ooooooo, HQ...

  • what's a "Colorsound Power Boost"?

  • It's an old overdrive pedal that David used between 1972-80. You can hear it on the rhythms on Time and Money from Dark Side, Shine On, Have a Cigar, Sheep, Pigs....

  • i fucking love that pedal, especially on have a cigar, and sheep

  • You have it down - you've got the bootlegs. Exactly.

  • Nice. I have the MJM 60's and I love it also.

  • ho do u like it. do you how it compares to a mojo vibe?

  • I have had it for almost three years and it is incredible. Perfect through my Marshalls. Never played a mojo -- don't need to, but I'm sure it sounds nice also. The mojo can use a pedal to adjust the speed; for the MJM I just use my toe on the big knob. MJM is a dead on copy of the Univibe.

  • thanks its a tough decision i think i need to play them both side by side

  • Great COver.... Remember Folks this is not the Dark side of the moon cover,,, it is quite diferrent

  • You should dirty a little bit more... anyway it's perfect!

    it's Fantastic!

    5 star

  • that was the the frist on the run thats cool i like it xD

  • Great work man! Just a quick question: Since Dark Side of the Moon was released in 1973, was the recording you're basing this on played before the official album release?

  • Let me elight you: Many bands not only Pink Floyd show some of their upcoming work in concerts, For example in the '75 tour there was a song called You Gotta Be Crazy that then changed into Dogs as you can see it was played 2 years before the album release

  • Yes. Pink Floyd performed Dark Side throughout 1972. A whole year before it was released. Most of the songs sounded quite different to what ended up on the album.

  • You gotta love "Travel Sequence".

  • You should add more distortion, as Gilmour in 1972 and 1973.

  • Not bad

  • i want that sound sobad i have a special edition koa strat with the seymour duncans could i be able to get a good 72 gilmour sound with that please and what other pedals can i use to get that sound please reply

  • fuckn great

  • NICE

  • Harsh is not the word, i mean, Smooth.

  • Nice Bjorn! Interesting Clean with the Harsh tone of the Colorsound.

May i ask something? It would be nice to use and TS9 to boost a Silicon Fuzz Face? Thanks.

  • Yes you could although I think that true bypass pedals works better with fuzz units. Buffered pedals tend to brighten the fuzz tone.

  • What show is this from?

  • This is just an excerpt of the version they used to play onthe '72 tour. A favourite show of mine is the one from Rainbow, London, February 20 1972.

  • Hey Bjorn, how about a demo vid of the Colorsound pedal.

  • so how does a 1978 stratocaster sound with cs69 pickups?

  • is that The Gilmour Strat NOS ?

  • Nope. It's a 1996 Japanese Fender 50's with Custom Shop 69 pickups and Callaham Vintage bridge with a shortened tremolo arm.

  • Thats The Black Strat Sound ! Keep Rockin'

  • great sound!

  • hey man do you know wich wah pedal did gilmour used to make the whale sounds from echoes an embryo? thanx man

  • Cry Baby. Check out this article on my site for more details gilmourish(.)com/?p=256

  • thanx man, i asked coz im gonna buy a new wah pedal and i was thinking about the vox v847 or the original crybaby, so youre article says any vintage wah, am i correct? so both of em would work right?

  • Yep.

  • did you learn this by ear?

  • Yes. Check out the Moonwalk bootleg from rainbow Theatre, London '72. Great version.

  • Bjorn, I recently downloaded this bootleg off of Bit Torrent. It is by far my favorite take of DSOTM in its entirety.

    Keep jamming bud~!

  • on which site did you found it? thanks men...

  • im jelous you got daves strat i want that so band

  • The strat is the least you should care about.

This guy has all kind of original effect pedals while I can just affort luckyly a Sovtek BIG MUFF

  • that guy is a lucky bastard lol

  • Get the BYOC Large Beaver -- Best Muff ever!

  • you are one of the few that play this song live!!!! great!!! congratulations

  • I agree with robk90, I would *love* to see you cover the Have A Cigar solo. Maybe the Pigs solo too!

  • AWW! MAN!! I love the pigs solo at the end!

  • The Travel Sequence owns, Man! Great playing!

  • awesome tone man! do you have a butler tube driver?

  • Yep. You can check out my gear on my site gilmourish(.)com in the My Gear section.

  • very cool, thanks!

  • Great Great JOb!!!! A++++

Could you do a pedal demo on the colorsound OD/PB. Thanks

  • david gilmour is the MAN!!! Keep on playin brotha!

  • I absolutely adore the travel sequence. The first time I heard it I couldn't believe it wasn't used. On the run is a cool experience too though.

  • Hi, awesome video!!! Where did you find tab? Or your own create? Can you send me tab to mail? Thanks

  • There's no tabs around I think. I picked this up from the Rainbow February 1972 bootleg.

  • you should do the have a cigar solo, i wanna hear ur small stone and colosound make magic!

  • hello can you please do the last solo from pigs 3 diferents one live from oakland may 1977 thanks

  • that's not On The Run!

It's the almighty Travel Sequence :P

    great vid

  • The Travel Sequence was On the Run....a jammed bluesy stuff in E minor...they used to play it like that in '72...after that they came with the idea of the synth version.

  • yes indeed, but they are totally different though.

  • Hey man great vid., LOVE your website!! Where do you get the tabs for all of your covers?

  • Wow...is this the "Bowl de Luna" version?

  • He played mostly the same stuff throughout the 1972 tours. The clip is an excerpt of the Rainbow Febuary '72 show.

  • I see...actually the Hollywood Bowl's version ends in a different way ;)

  • Yeah, kind of a blues shuffle thing at the end there. The early versions from Febuary/March are much more "down" and jazzy with a electric piano solo from Wright etc...

  • sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

you got to tab out those licks for us amatures

  • How on earth did you learn this? It's perfect!

  • He he! Thanks!

  • fucking nice , i dig the on the run sequence

  • Great tone.....Bjorn you are the best...

I love this version..on the run it's fantastic..

    i have a question..:

this is adunlop univibe or the mjm or boss rt 2o rotary sim???

    best regards

  • mjm 60's vibe

  • Yep, that's the MJM Sixties Vibe. You can see the setups for each clip in the description/info field :)

  • This is exactly the video I requested...thanks a lot !!! Awesome tone and playing like always! Now I'll try to play it myself. Thanks again. Leandro
