Well Obviously some of you work at a fast food joint. but I'd have to blame the workers too, cause I beleive most of them if not all of them are in fact wearing a headset to listen to the orders.
Some registers have to know the combo size first, side and then the drink and THEN you can modify the burger! if you get a customer saying a #1 no pickle extra onions, with a coke and then say they want to add tomato and a salad instead of fries then your order is gonna be messed up! blame the comp, not the workers!!
It's amazing that with all of the computerized registers, menu boards that display the order, drink dispensers that automatically pour the drinks, fry cookers that automatically cook and dispense the fries, and all of the other automation in modern McDonald's kitchens, that they screw up as much as they do.
I worked at McDonald's over 20 years ago and back then we didn't have any of the automation that they have there now and we didn't screw up the orders nearly as much as they do now.
It often doesn't matter even if you do correct them when they get the order wrong and you catch it on the screen. I've corrected them at all three places when they got it wrong, watched them correct it on the screen, only to discover when I got to the window that they still got it wrong.
And what's even more amazing is all of the automation that is in place to make it so easy that a brain dead chimpanzee who is blind in one eye and missing an arm could do that job, and they still screw it up.

the fries can sit for up to 7 minutes. they are heated at the correct temperature to be good for a bit while the burger is done. thats a good thing however that when u press on the bun it stays down. would you want it to spring up like a sponge? im not saying a slight touch will crush it obviously, but u get the picture. i havent worked there for long (about a week), but at our mcdonalds, we throw out fries after 7 minutes - quality - well blueyellow21 hoppe that cleared it up for you =P

that's the worst-when the customer tries to act like they know more than you about how stuff works. one time a lady wanted to pay part on card and part cash but our registers don't let you do that. she talked condescendingly to me saying ALL registers do that, but that "it was ok" that i didn't know how. sorry lady, i'm not an idiot, our registers are just old.

i hate it when they ask for it fresh just in general. it's understandable if you get your food and it's actually old, but most of the time, all the food is usually fresh, at least at ours. it usually doesn't bother me too much though, just when they're really rude about wanting it fresh.
um, as long as they do it right and don't cook too much all at once, it really hasn't been there very long at all. i know some places leave the food under lamps, but we try to keep everything decently fresh at ours.

wendys service sucks!!! i went in once to eat, tried the taco salad thing, and thought it tasted like crap and only ate half of it. i went up to order somthing else and the lady at the counter says, "oh, this was supposed to go with your salad," and hands me some chipotle dressing and tortilla strips that were "included" with the salad. i put them on the second half of my salad and guess what, it was delicious! i never went to wendys again and i problably never will. DONT EAT AT WENDYS!!!!!!

that's the worst-when the customer tries to act like they know more than you about how stuff works. one time a lady wanted to pay part on card and part cash but our registers don't let you do that. she talked condescendingly to me saying ALL registers do that, but that "it was ok" that i didn't know how. sorry lady, i'm not an idiot, our registers are just old.

oh i hate it when they do that haha or how they will order the anything that has the crispy chicken and ask for it fresh.the crispy chicken takes 6min to cook and then they get mad bcuz they have to wait and say its taking to long when they wanted it fresh in the first place. its mostly rich ppl that do that

i hate it when they ask for it fresh just in general. it's understandable if you get your food and it's actually old, but most of the time, all the food is usually fresh, at least at ours. it usually doesn't bother me too much though, just when they're really rude about wanting it fresh.

um, as long as they do it right and don't cook too much all at once, it really hasn't been there very long at all. i know some places leave the food under lamps, but we try to keep everything decently fresh at ours.

Yeah I've worked at McDonalds for 4 years and have been a manager for two. I had some lady come through the other day and wanted to do that and I said that we don't have that function available here. She was like I was a store manager I know you can. I was like sorry we can't here. She mumbled something under her breath about i just must not know how. I think I would know if there was a way how. I've been working there for 4 years. Some people just don't get it.

wendys service sucks!!! i went in once to eat, tried the taco salad thing, and thought it tasted like crap and only ate half of it. i went up to order somthing else and the lady at the counter says, "oh, this was supposed to go with your salad," and hands me some chipotle dressing and tortilla strips that were "included" with the salad. i put them on the second half of my salad and guess what, it was delicious! i never went to wendys again and i problably never will. DONT EAT AT WENDYS!!!!!!
