  • @GinoTheeStranger ,,,makes sense

  • there is more of this great music, wow and its not the Ventures, I like them tho

  • @TheGodedur welcome, please enjoy!

  • This is really a cool sound.

  • @Lionscake5 one of the best...

  • Ah this brings back memories. Used to play in a group back in the '60s and we were on the same bill as The Fentones (without Shane) on two occasions. Once was the Majestic Ballroom in Crewe but I can't remember where the other one was. They were even better live than they were on record.

  • @bassmanpedro1 An honour to have you drop by. Sounds like good memories. What was your group?

  • @SirBasildeBrush Yes I have some great memories of those times. The original name was Dene Wayne and the Exiles but our agent later made us change to The Magic Moments, a name all four of us absolutely hated!

  • @bassmanpedro1 I'd go with the former as well, Magic Moments is a bit twee. Got any recordings from those days?

  • @SirBasildeBrush I do have a couple of originals that we recorded plus a cover of This Time, originally by Troy Shondell.

  • @bassmanpedro1 Well, you're always welcome to send them.

  • classic 60s instrumental...never heard in stereo b4...

  • Hey Bas, do you know if they recorded "Magic" as a single, or was it just a special for "Play it Cool"?

  • @BradBrassman It featured as a B-side on "Cindy's Birthday".

  • @SirBasildeBrush Have you got it?

  • @BradBrassman Only in the film, and in VHS.

  • @SirBasildeBrush Shame. I love the film one but want to hear the recorded version. Does it have that thumping bass throughout?

  • @BradBrassman Whoops! Actually, I have it on my Shane Fenton & The Fentones CD. I was just looking at my Fentones CDs. Would you like me to upload it?

  • wow not heard this in stereo before again one of my all time fave instros i met Bill Bonny a few times at "pipeline convention" what a niceguy lives in Canada now and has done for sometime, allways found time for a chat//thanks SBB//

  • @brokenbeard1 You certainly know a lot of these singers and musicians I feature. Surely one of everyone's favourite instrumentals.

  • For all you other Fentones fans, stereo re-mastered versions of four instrumentals:

    The Mexican (2003 Digital Remaster)

    Lover's Guitar (2003 Digital Remaster)

    The Breeze & I (2003 Digital Remaster)

Just For Jerry (2003 Digital Remaster)

are to be found on the Shane Fenton "All the A and B sides. Great value 22 tracks in all. still available on Amazon etc.

  • Sorry, I forgot to say that the play is very nice, greetings Karin

  • Wonderfull this !!!!

I have searched for so long for this track , this afternoon my buddy send me this link !!

    Great !! , greets Karin

  • My pleasure.

  • This is the type of enjoyable tune I would hear on the local college radio station's "Instrumental Surf" programs usually played on Saturday nights!! :-)

  • Chihuahuas?

    :P

  • Way to go, SirBasil! I've never heard of the Fentones- but I'm gonna now!

  • Shane Fenton was the bigger name. He re-invented himself as a bigger star in the early seventies as Alvin Stardust.

  • Bello. They are similar to the Shadows (that I love).

V V Good music. Thanks Sir Basil

  • A good choice !

  • This Is Fantastic!!! 5*s Thank You Basil.....Anita....

  • Delighted you like this one Anita.

  • The Fentones play nice guitars. However, The Jokers' Tabou is still my favorite guitar instrumental (to date), and for that, I appreciate your posting of it!

  • Every bit as good as the Dakotas. And they were GOOD!
